Very dated

Nice location. But very dated building. Dirty hallways, dirty grounds. Looks like it doesn't get vacuumed or swept ever. Only 1 elevator and laundry room. Friendly staff.

A Place To Live

The apartments are quite dated, with ancient cabinets, ancient stoves, fridges that need to be repaired multiple times, knockdown style walls that are not even, and scratchy old carpet that is not pleasant to walk on. The entire complex isn't level and leans slightly towards the east, which can make cooking things interesting as sometimes the pots do not want to stay centered on the stove. The windows leak to the point of freezing over during the winter.

These are "smoke free" apartments,...
yet my apartment smells like cigarettes almost every single day. Management has been made aware multiple times, and always "addresses" the issue, but it always comes back. The range hoods and bathroom exhaust vents for various apartments are connected, so when someone cooks something awful, or is blowing cigarette smoke into their range you, you can bet it will end up in your apartment.
Laundry Room: There are times where for hours you will be unable to get a washer or dryer. People leave them absolutely disgusting, as it is regular to find them filled with the previous person's hair, dirt, you name it.

There are multiple issues with the apartment complex that cannot be overlooked. The parking situation in the lot is dreadful. They allow visitors to park there, even though there aren't enough spots for everyone who lives here to begin with. They advertise underground parking, but do not expect to get one of those spaces anytime soon. (It took me 11 and 1/2 months to get one).

Next is the trash chute. It jams up for multiple days at a time, multiple times a month. The hallways and entry-ways will regularly smell like garbage due to these issues. Another fairly common issue is plumbing problems. At least once a month since we've moved in, we've personally encountered a plumbing problem, or have received notice from the building that water will be shut off to repair the pipes. We had black water come out of the kitchen drains and pour all over the floor, carpet, etc due to these issues.

Management has been fairly responsive to react to issues, although I've only had them fixed in a few situations. It took almost 4 months of living here to get my toilet replaced when I had first moved in last April.

Positives: They are conveniently located, the bike room downstairs that was recently redone turned out very nice, and the apartments are very quiet due to the amount of concrete between each floor (although you will hear planes fairly regularly).
