One of the Best Places to live in the Twin Cities

Hiawatha Flats is a newer complex. We have lived here for several years and couldn't be any happier! Each unit has their own washer and dryer! The utilities are extremely low because of excellent insulation and newer central heat and air. Each unit has their own HVAC! Hiawatha Flats has wonderful amenities! (Swimming pool, sauna, exercise room, and more!) The location is absolutely outstanding! You will love it! The garage is safe and secure! Most importantly, Hiawatha Flats has outstanding... management and staff! If you have maintenance needs, action will be taken ASAP! If you have larger packages that might come in, they will be signed for when you are gone. We have never lived in an apartment setting with better management than this! You will love Hiawatha Flats, Minneapolis!

Was once nice.

We have lived here for 3 years and have had enough. When we first moved in, things were great. Now 3 years later things have really gone downhill. You will wait days for emails to be returned, you will find the office randomly closing early, the PM will lie straight to your face when you have in writing what she has previously said (many residence we have talked to say the same thing, she is a compulsive liar) maintenance will say they have fixed something, then find out it was not fixed. We... have had issues with cracked walls, only to be painted over and re-cracked. The painter to come "fix them" and not repaint, so you will have white splotches on the walls for days, or weeks in our case waiting for them to come back and fix them. You will be notified the day of that someone is coming to fix something. We have had bug issues for the pasts 6 months and when they come to check they say "oh we didn't see any so we didn't do anything" (even though we had pictures) zero preventative pest control in units. This apartments.com ad states "modern luxury apartments". No. The counter tops are old laminate with scratches and are peeling and it has old carpet. It also says "brand new stainless appliances"...they have been the same ones since we moved in 3 years ago, how is that "brand new"? "Resort style indoor pool"? It's the smallest indoor pool I've ever seen in an apartment building and is ice cold. They "fix" it randomly and its warm for about 3 days then goes right back to ice cold. They raised garage parking by $10 for some reason, we are not getting anything else in the garage so I'm not sure why they upped the price and I, and other residence, are pretty sure they are no longer heating the garage as it's always cold. Rent keeps going up and the quality keeps going down, with the building and the staff. We have moved into a brand new building with more amenities, quartz counters, hard wood floors, stunning, for the same price, and it's not very far from this location. Look elsewhere!

Amazing Place To Live

Hiawatha Flats is the best place I have ever lived. The property is beautiful, rent is reasonable, and the property manager cares so much. Even the hallways and pool area are cleaned on a daily basis.

For the Longfellow neighborhood, there isn't a better value. I am steps away from public transit, delicious restaurants, beautiful parks, and sparkling lakes.

If you are looking for a place to live long term in the twin cities, this is definitely the place for you.

Nice, quiet apartments with excellent amenities and staff

These apartments are fairly new, with great interior appeal. The buildings have multiple community rooms, including a movie theater, fitness centers, game room, and indoor pool. Staff is exceptionally friendly and goes out of their way to make your life easier, from posting the weekly weather in the elevators to dropping off packages and watering your plants. Just a block from the metro, it's a perfect place for the working class. The neighborhood is quiet and close to the beautiful trails of... Minnehaha Falls. Overall, I love everything about it!
