Moved in with open and spilled food from previous tenants.
If you do not read this whole thing, just take this: DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! Nor should you rent from Stl City wide or any of their other names. (they have many names because they are being sued so much, look it up it's not hard to find that information)
I and my roommate moved in about a month ago. Despite contacting the property managers about how the apartment was left dirty as if the previous tenants moved out and nothing was even so much as dust, they tell me the pictures I sent them... "do not match our records". So now I'm left to clean up a trashy apartment myself, and with what we pay in rent that is absurd!
Additionally, the place had literally every door of the hinge or track when we moved in. Although that was fixed quickly nothing else has been really prompt by any means and some stuff is just left downright still busted or sloppily fixed.
Some quick examples of this are:
the fridge when we moved in smelled of spoiled meat in there, I refused to clean it myself and management took over 2 weeks and multiple times calling them to get anything done about it.
The floorboards were absolutely filthy black and sticky in some parts. I ended up taking care of this myself because I couldn't stand to live in a place with roaches and sticky dirty floors while they took their time.
There is grease splatter damage in the kitchen on the wall, they are trying to claim that we did that even though we didn't have a fridge that was usable, nor did we have cookware. They say it was painted before we moved in which is simply not true.
Lastly, they didn't so much as dust the cobwebs off the ceiling, or wipe down the windows before we moved in.
I would absolutely recommend THAT YOU AVOID this property, and anything managed by STL City Wide (or any of the other names they are using because they are in the middle of many lawsuits for various reasons.)
