Kirkwood Bluffs

The apartment is really spacious which i love but unfortunately many things to complain about. Bathroom floor is not properly caulked at all which leaves me with fear of mold growth in the future, water is not clear and is suspiciously murky, ceilings and floors are EXTREMELY thin causing me to hear my upstairs neighbor and their kids all day running around their house, no centralized lighting in the living room or either of the 2 bedrooms their is no lighting at all. Came in on move in day to our bathtub being broken after waiting weeks to even be able to see our apartment. There has been multiple times packages were stolen, people have banged on my door late at night, cars broken into, all of this and still no cameras in the hallways in the mid rise building. Maintenance is terrible, they always do temporary solutions to problems and then complain when you bring it up again. They cut out the drain in my tub because it was clogged, so now there is just a... hole instead of a stopper in my tub. We had water damage in our apartment's ceiling due to an incident that happened with our upstairs neighbor and their solution was to spray paint over it. It was hard for us to breathe for days due to the fumes, and our apartment still smells like old dirty water. The amount of bugs I have seen in my apartment are INSANE! It is so so gross. You pay a bug spraying fee every month just for them not to spray. I have tried speaking to people at the leasing office multiple times just for them to "not be in at the moment". I found myself hanging up and calling back immediately just to actually get the person I needed to speak to simply because they were to afraid to talk to me. It's alright. It's not a bad place to live, but we could probably find something better. We had a rough first few months, and some of the promises made, like repainting our very scratched door, which was supposed to be done before we moved in, still haven't been kept. Just little things like that. Also, there were many landlord specials for our apartment.

I love living here! I’m biased because I have an incredible view of the bluffs and have always had fantastic support from maintenance and the front office whenever something comes up, but after being here for almost two years, this place just keeps being one of the things I’m most thankful for. Would totally recommend to anyone looking for a safe place to live with tons of layout options!

Nice, pretty quiet area. Neighbors are pleasant. Decent amenities (laundry room, 2 gyms, indoor/outdoor pools). Property management team is normally quick to respond.
