Unreasonable management
Horrendous policies about parking: you must drive your car often to avoid it being towed for being "abandoned" property, even as the car is insured and registered. You must start paying rental insurance for property even though you don't take possession of it some unknown day in the future--months in advance--without knowing exact day when they'll give you the go ahead to move in.

High Rent, little care.
I'll admit that at first Crestview was a decent place to live. We lived there from 2019 to the end of 2022, but by the end we were almost desperate to leave. In the few years we were there we saw an increasing disinterest by the owners and management to tend to the place during winter. They never cleared the stairs, there would be days when the parking lot went without plowing and even during the other seasons they started to replace grass with just rocks all over the facility, making it ugly... and giving fewer places for pets to potty.
Then, in about 2021 they decided to hike the rent up by $250-$400 depending on some random criteria it seemed (we talked to our neighbors so we can confirm everyone was getting hikes but at vastly different prices). I should point out during this time they literally ran a 'contest' for tenants to give the place 5 star reviews for...literally $50 off rent for that month. We had to get Emergency Rental Assistance and Crestview made it near impossible for the state to get in touch so we could have some chance of having a place to live during the pandemic. Then they tried to do it again for our 2023 lease which is when we decided to move out.
Which is where the real fun began because we cleaned our apartment top to bottom and while we didn't have time to do the carpet, we still cleaned everything else. We spent three full days cleaning, and we still got charged for "marks and hair on wall", "scuffs" and what amounted to normal wear and tear (i.e. stuff we never should have been charged for as per the lease). Needless to say, we didn't get even half of our deposit back.
Unfortunately for them this was something my husband had plenty of experience in and, by the end of his calculation, they owed us around $700 back after charging fantasy amounts for cleaning and replacing blinds and, I kid you not, throwing away things we left on the counter (mind you we left paper towels and toilet paper as a courtesy they tried to charge us like $75 each to have it thrown away???) To their credit, they did give us a check for around $500 after we fought but be wary! They will rip you off on 'cleaning expenses' and charge you more and more ridiculous rent the longer you're there despite no clean up in winter, the pool and gym being out of service 70% of the year and little to no way of getting in touch with them.

Save yourself and rent elsewhere
Crestview was the worst rental experience I have ever had. The staff is beyond rude and condescending. They raised the rent to an absurd amount, especially for what you get… old cabinetry, appliances and carpets, everything constantly breaks. Bugs everywhere. The parking situation is horrendous and they will find anything and everything to fine you for (while you live there, not just for move out). The do NOT have staff on site like they advertise, they have set people on the premises to report... to them violations. The small amount of perks with the complex is greatly overshadowed by how terrible the staff is. Anywhere in town would be better then Crestview, had I read all the terrible reviews prior, I never would have rented from them.

GREAT JOB Montana Crestview!!
I moved out and received my security deposit within 20 days!! They kept some money for carpet cleaning but I'm okay with that because I had a smelly cat, LOL. They require everything in writing which I thought was great. It kept all of our conversations clear and understandable. They always sent out text and emails about anything going on around the complex. I really enjoyed living at Montana Crestview and will return if I'm ever brought back to Montana. Great job Montana Crestview! Thank you... for everything and for providing a home for me for two years.

Worse place I've ever lived.
The staff is absolutely terrible. They have poor customer service, they are argumentative, and they are condescending. They're rude, unprofessional, and difficult to communicate with. They do not respect the privacy of their tenants. All they do on Google reviews is argue with past tenants instead of trying to make/keep their current tenants happy. They were constantly watching me, even after they knew I had been stalked by a stranger on the premises. I felt unsafe living there, and the staff... made it worse by nit-picking everything I did. It is an awful place to try to live, especially for the price. Everything in the apartments is cheaply made and there were always bugs inside the apartment. It is hands-down the worst place I've ever tried to live and it never felt like a place I could call home.
