Nice space, bad management
My apartment was great in terms of the space and price, but the management has been terrible at times. I moved into my apartment, and there was an entire window missing, like a hole in the wall for the outdoors. They took several days to add a window, so I moved in about a week after my lease began. I was not compensated for this even though it was a safety hazard, and I could not move in then. Upon move-in, one of the bathtubs was on and could not be turned off until maintenance fixed it after... at least a week of waiting. There were no smoke detectors (even though that is legally required), and they were only placed in my apartment after sending in multiple maintenance requests and emails. We also had serious roach problems and had to wait a while for exterminators to come, which helped for a little bit. Now, my roommates and I get roach bait and spray and try to kill them all ourselves because we got tired of waiting for management to be convinced that our roach problem was bad enough to warrant an exterminator call.
