A Fine Place to Stay!
My husband and I lived here for a little over 3 years while he was stationed at Camp Lejeune. We initially moved in thinking that we would find a home after the first year, but following Hurricane Florence we just decided to stay put. The Maintenance team is great, and often comes at 8am on the dot (often surprising me in my pjs!). Shelly and everyone else at the property is so kind, and I literally never had an issue with any of them. That being said, the apartments themselves are older. Many... layers of peeling paint in the kitchen cabinets, the carpeting left a lot to be desired, and the rooms would get moldy with the humidity. I would say about 85% of my issues would have been solved had the cabinets been fixed up a bit and the carpet been replaced with tile, linoleum, or wood of some sort. But that's just me! If you want somewhere to live that is cost effective with large apartments and staff that cares, Cardinal Village is your spot. But if you're looking for upgrades and bells and whistles, you might be better served elsewhere.
