I was looking for an apartment that actually felt like a home, not just another box. So many places today feel like railroads. You walk in and it’s basically one open space where you live, eat, and relax all in the same spot. That’s not the case here.

At the LEX, my two-bedroom is genuinely spacious. When you walk in, it feels like a real home with defined spaces, not just a layout. There’s a full laundry room, not a closet. A wood-burning fireplace that adds real character. And the balcony has...
become my own little peaceful retreat.

The bedrooms, bathrooms, and closets are all well-designed, and the tray ceiling in the master adds a nice touch. On top of that, the customer service is professional, and the maintenance team is always on point.

I actually own a home in Durham that I built in 2023, and I can honestly say I enjoy living here more. Even better, this nearly 1,300 sq. ft. two-bedroom costs less than my previous apartment in West Cary, which was smaller by about 350 square feet.

Visit the site prior to move-in. I have been looking at the Lex for over a year and reading reviews. My process and move in process and living space does not align with comments online. There are minor things that is expected that can use a touch up but nothing extreme.

You pay market prices without market value. The place is beautiful, quiet, and the management is responsive. Any maintenance i have ever had has to come back and do the job. 50 percent work for 100 percent rent just seems fair huh?

I was electrocuted by a shotty dryer shortly after moving in, then it was noted I bought my own and just didn't want to use the properties dryer. No accountability or apology. A year later they brought me a new one after not adjusting the rent to reflect o had my own. The after hours emergency line is never responded too. Nothing gets fixed with out follow up and there is never any empathy from the office unless they have been talked to by the regional office. I thought things were finally... getting better and renewed my lease but 8 days with out heat and the law says requires heat issues with below freezing temps be addressed within 48 hours didn't mean anything until Mrs Green was contacted. Id love to resolve things in the office but leadership can be snarky and at times calus. Three separate conversations about heat and one call to the region office and it fixed the same day. Before that the last I heard was we have to wait in parts there is nothing we can do. It had already been 7 cold long nights
