My mother and I moved into a downstairs unit and absolutely love it. It’s spacious and lots of storage and closet space. I like having my own washer/dryer in the apartment. The ladies in the office were very nice and accommodating to us! And always responded back to any questions I had. Our only concern is the family that moved in upstairs with children who seem to run constantly! The people are so loud until 2 am every night! We’re not able to sleep. I guess that’s part of apartment... living that we have to deal with until our lease ends. Other than that issue, it’s a nice apartment!!

OVERCHARGED
I lived at this apartment for two years and paid my rent on time every month, followed every rule, and never had any complaints. Regardless, that did not stop them from tearing apart my apartment after I moved out to charge me for anything they could find. There were a few damages I knew that I would have to pay for, but I wasn't expecting well over a thousand dollars worth of repairs. They charged me for everything from the padding underneath the carpet to tile in the bathrooms when there was... no tile to begin with. Their contracts are worded carefully to make sure you can't get any money back no matter what you do. It is obvious to me that their tenants are nothing more to them than a source to get as much money as possible. If you're considering living here, I implore you to consider somewhere else, your bank account will thank you later.

Worse place to live I regret moving here
Worse Experience ever with the girls at the apartment office!!! Soo rude and a very poor customer service!!! Our garage got broken into several times and I tried reaching them several times but to no avail!!! I finally got hold of them and guess what? Zero empathy!!! They even ended up hanging up the phone!!! My car was totaled and their locks are worse!! No measures were taken to address that issue but rather I was blamed for parking my car in a locked garage(Makes no sense right?)!!!! I can’t... wait to move out of this unsafe place that only care about their money!! If you want to live in constant fear then live here. Kudos to their maintenance guys they are amazing. They are the only guys that keeps this place the apartment office is a bunch of stuck up individuals, with zero customer service skills!!

Hello~
Thank you for leaving a review. I'm sorry that you feel you have had unpleasant interactions with our office staff. We strive to offer the best customer service possible to all of our residents.
Since we do have a very small office staff... with only 1 full time person in the office. Unfortunately, this does mean that there are periods of time during office hours when the office isn't physically occupied or open due to showings, bank runs, building issues, etc.
We urge all tenants who call the office and do not receive an answer to leave a message so that we can get back to you when available.
I cannot say what the circumstances were related to the phone call you experienced, and therefore cannot know if this applies to your situation, but, we do have a policy and portion of the lease agreement related to tenant interactions with the office, and we will not tolerate any type of threatening/harassing/or verbally abusive language, including excessive swearing by tenants directed at any staff member. If that were to happen, staff is advised to give 2 warnings and then end the conversation (including hanging up) if the behavior continues. Again, since I do not know the specifics regarding your situation, I cannot and am not saying this was the case in your situation.
Greenbrier Apartments and North Lakes Property Management works closely with Fargo PD regarding the ongoing city wide issue related to garage break ins. Unfortunately, we, as well as, many other property management companies, have experienced issues related to garage break ins. When we become aware of a garage break in, we always initially tell the tenants to call Fargo PD to report the break in and file a police report, especially if any personal property is missing or damaged. Once that has been done we will get maintenance out the same day, or next day (depending on time) to fix and replace the garage locks and provide new keys. In the past Fargo PD has recommended a few options to try and curb break ins, which we have tried, and at one point, they even used one of our locks for photos to show other officers and other companies for how they wanted the garage locks to be set up. Unfortunately, Fargo PD and the locksmith have continued to provide information that, as we, evolve in ways to try and eliminate the options for criminals to enter the garages, the criminals are also creating new "techniques" in their crimes. We look to continue working with Fargo PD to do what we can to help them combat this ongoing problem in the FM area! In the meantime, we will continue to recommend that all tenants use their garages for parking long, keep their garages shut, and carry renters insurance to cover the loss of personal property due to theft or other loss.
Please reach out to me by email (info@rentfargo.com) if there is anything I can do personally to rectify this situation.

Horrible management.
This is a beautiful apartment complex. I will not be renew my lease with this company. I been living in this apartment for 7 months now and I can't wait to move out. I've been complaining for the past 1 and 1/2 month for my neighbor upstairs I'm on the second floor and they are on the third floor. The noisy they make upstairs is unbearable. It feel like two elephants fighting upstairs. I went to apartment complex in person I talk to the manager she told me she called them and talk with them. And... I call her again and she told me she send them a letter but it's getting worse every single day. I asked her if she can move me to another apartment she said there was no apartment available. I should call the police on them.I don't think I should call the police, I think she should do something about it she's the manager I don't think I have to call the police on them. And these people just moved up stairs not even 2 months yet. it's not fair at all for someone to just make noise 24/7 I can sleep I get off work in the morning I can't even sleep I can't even sit in the living room is like banging walking jumping, everything be shaking I don't know what they be doing upstairs, this is ridiculous she can do something it. I pay my rent on time I pay my rent I never get late on my rent. right now it is 11:23pm and the loud noise it not easy. We all have to respect each other. They're are the manager if they can't listing to her who else can we listen to. I just feel like she don't want to listen to whatever I was telling her she don't live in the apartment I live in the apartment with the loud noise. I go through this every single day, and make me feel like they don't care about my feelings. I pray to God for this month to go by so fast so I can move out of this apartment complex. I cannot wait to get away from his noise.

Property Manager at Greenbrier Apartments responded to this review
Hello~
Here at North Lakes Property Management, we always take the concerns of our residents seriously. When we receive tenant to tenant noise complaints we always address them in writing with the offending parties. If we continue to receive... complaints, additional written notices are sent and the file may be flagged for possible non-renewal at the end of the lease term. However, legal options during the lease term are very limited if we do not have validated police reports on file. That is why it is essential for us to have those validated police reports, and the reason the we strongly urge tenants who have issues with neighbors regarding parties, fights, noise, etc. to call Fargo PD. Unfortunately, after the fact, there is only limited options for us as a managing company without those police reports on file. We do work with the Fargo Police Department closely and are able to get police reports for our properties anytime they are called for this type of issue, at our request. We do need to request these reports directly though. Therefore, any tenants who call our office are both directed to call Fargo PD moving forward AND report the calling of PD to our office, that way we can request the police report. Reports generally take about 7-10 business days to reach our office, once requested.
We do follow the City of Fargo noise ordinance which is as follows: Noisy party or gathering When two or more people get together in a residential area between the hours of 10 pm and 6 am, noise or music must be kept to a reasonable level. Any unreasonable noise which is likely to cause significant discomfort or annoyance to neighbors is a violation of city ordinances. Noise which can be clearly audible at a distance of 50 feet from the building, or in the case of apartment buildings, in the adjacent hallway or apartment, is considered to be unreasonable noise.
Fargo police can issue citations for noisy parties and order those attending to disperse. Violations can result in a misdemeanor conviction in Municipal Court and a maximum $1000 fine. To complain about excessive noise from a party, call the Fargo Police Department at 701.235.4493. They will send out an officer to investigate. If you live in rental housing, you should also notify your landlord about the problem.
I hope this response helps clear up any confusion regarding the reasons that we are asking residents to call Fargo PD when issues like these occur, and how our company follows the City of Fargo noise ordinance.
Moving forward, we ask that you contact us AND Fargo PD if the noise issues above you continue so that we can try and get them resolved in the proper and legal manner. We truly hope we can resolve this issue and you will continue to live with us and be able to do so in a quieter environment!
