DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE

No fire walls between the units. When one unit catches fire, the entire block goes up in flames. Open trash bins that overflow every week. Herds of feral cats and vermin then rip the trash open and it blows all over the property. Management then sends snarky text messages to the residents, threatening to fine whoever is not throwing their trash in the bin. Ancient air handling units that cycle on and off every few minutes when the weather is hot or cold. Local police presence at least once a... month. I moved out 60 days ago and still have not received my security deposit. No reason given. In fact, no communication at all from Sapphire Management. Just no check. If you have anywhere else to live, you should go there. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE.

Unprofessional leasing office

For context this is the first review I’ve ever written because I’ve never even felt strongly enough about something to have to. However, the front office should be held accountable.
I reached out to Sandy Ridge with prospects to move in and had a conversation with a leasing agent where I made my requirements clear: 1-bedroom with a move-in date in August, 2021. I explained I am moving here because my job and made clear the date was an important factor and the agent confirmed this is possible —...
knowing full well that my application was contingent on this. This call was made on a Monday. On Tuesday we had finished our application for the apartment and my girlfriend and I paid 2 application fees. Wednesday comes and we get a call back (after applying and paying) that bc of how “applications keep coming in” that the apartment was not going to be ready until the END of September. I told her this was surprising because I had specifically asked and confirmed the date prior, and she knew it was why we applied. She claims it was out of her hands and we had basically paid $70 for no reason. It’s just odd to offer a date you cannot guarantee and ask people to apply for it. This is especially odd because this changed entirely within a 2 day range to the END of September. If this was a possibility why not mention it in the first call or application terms? While this may not have happened to everyone I still wanted people to know about *my* experience with Sandy Ridge and hope this practice ends immediately. I cannot imagine how many other applicants were told the day after they paid for their applications that the previously-agreed upon terms were no longer possible.
