Don't expect to get your security deposit back
Initially, I was pretty impressed with the initial your they gave you. However, after living there for a little while you start to realize that much of the material and construction of the place felt very cheap. Which brings me to my main point. The window blinds they use are by far the worst quality I've ever seen. I happened to live there only after the building was built a couple years previously. I treat everything with utmost care as that has always been my nature. Right before I moved out,... I spend days and elbow grease repainting everything and making it look even better than before I had moved in. Unfortunately, when I got my security deposit back, I saw that they had deducted $300 off for damaged blinds in a room where I never ever bothered to open and close the blinds. Their pettiness, which is a direct result of them deciding to use inferior quality materials, resulted me only keeping about 20% of my security deposit. And this is after I sweated tears and blood to make the place immaculate by my move-out.
