Overpriced, not well maintained, and the staff is just unprofessional

When my son and I moved in 6 years ago, my apartment was run down and obviously had been vacant for awhile, but we needed a new home. The only reason we've stayed was for the neighborhood school.

I complained about the oven door that wouldn't close all the way, the dishwasher that didn't work, and mildew stains on the bathroom linoleum, among other things. The Shadow Hills Team didn't fixed only the little things, then they tried to evict me.

The assistant manager who did that was fired,...
but after that it was a game of passing the buck and empty promises. Only now, after six years, have these things been fixed, and again it was a nightmare. If you're considering renting at Shadow Hills, don't.

Very unprofessional and unorganized

I would not recommend to rent here. The office staff is terrible. They are not organized and will charge you for EVERYTHING! Maintenance staff is amazing couldn't say enough nice things about them. Unfortunately they do not run the place. I had a dryer go out three times before I had a discussion with the manager stating I am frustrated with this situation. Because her office staff is in capable of handling any issue. They have many hidden costs associated with the rent they pay so beware. You... are charged for literally everything. They have this stupid valet trash that you have to pay 25 dollars every month even if you can take out your own trash. I've called and came in there in person over and over to try to renew my lease and pay my rent this month. They had no clue what I even owed. So they stated do not worry about it until the 8th since they couldn't give me an amount I owed. Not exactly sure how you pay a bill you don't have an amount too guess I was just supposed to give them a blank check? And now I have accrued late fees. I again came in there this morning asked how much am I supposed to pay? Again, couldn't give me an amount 2 hours later get a call finally give me an amount plus $200 in late charges.... What the heck... I requested to speak with the manager because the office lady was oh so friendly and worked with me so well and had her stuff together... (hopefully you can pick up on the sarcasm there) The manager was unavailable and she stated she will not help you so pay or leave and if you leave we have you locked in for 60 days at an extremely high rate. I'll pay this amazing company but as soon as that 6 months is up I am out... I just hope you read this and don't move here they just can't seem to be professional at all or work with residents that pay every month for a year on time.

SHADOW HILLS APTS

THIS COMPLEX REVIEWS THAT THEY ARE A DRUG FREE COMM. HOWEVER, WHEN I COMPLAINED ABOUT A FLOP HOUSE UPSTAIRS, THEY DID NOTHING TO INVESTIGATE. CAME HOME TO THE DEA AND HAZMAT TEAM BUSTING HIM AND HAD CHEMICALS ALL OVER THE DRIVEWAY. MY FAMILY COULDN'T HAVE DIED DUE TO AN EXPLOSION. NICE JOB MGMT TEAM :-(

Best Apartment I've Ever Lived In

I was a bit anxious moving from the East Coast to Las Vegas. I had heard Vegas had a lot of crime and some seedy areas. Fortunately, I found this gem of an apartment complex on the outskirts of town near the mountains. I have been here 8 months and have nothing but positive things to say. The complex is gated and I always feel safe. There is a gorgeous pool and hot tub available 24 hours, as well as a fitness center in the office building with some great equipment. The apartment itself is... spacious and beautiful. 2 bed/2 bath with a washer/dryer and HUGE walk-in closets in both bedrooms for lots of storage. The entire community is quiet and I've never had any issues with noise. Highly recommended.

My apartment is ok

I've been wanting to move lately because they raised our rent and was searching using the apartments.com website and app. Coincidentally I could win rent for life or a year and it couldn't have came any sooner. If I win or lose it doesn't matter I just want a break on paying so much when I have to pay for college ):
