Software to pay online is bad
My daughter, who had been paying her rent through their online software Appfolio just fine until she changed banks and put the new info onto to her account. She set up to pay and put the payment through and even got a confirmation email. Only 5 days later, she gets an email from the landlord saying the rent was due with over $240.00 of late charges. In trying to talk to the office, was told constantly that there was nothing they could do and she would have to pay by money order. Her bank says... they never received the payment to put through which means there is some sort of glitch in the Appfolio software. The landlord made it sound like she didn't pay her rent when in fact she did. The software just didn't process it for some reason. To prospective tenants, be VERY careful when looking to rent here and make sure you check daily between their horrible software which has your rental account on it and your bank to make sure the rent was received put through and proccessed and logged as paid on your account. As of now, her account has not been updated to show she paid her rent which was paid by money order.
