Luxury prices not luxury living
1st floor: The pipes freeze for the bathroom sink in the winter because the insulation is almost non existant. The washer and dryer are cheap, and clothes require a minimum of 2 full cycles in the dryer to be adequately dry.
No lighting in the ceiling of the large living room, and no fans either, which would be nice for the price. Dining room light fixture is off center for the space. Kitchen counters are cheap with a granite sticker overlay. All appliances are bottom of the barrel cheap, same... goes for the cabinets. The internet is provided, but its hit or miss (most times it's fair, but just be warned).
2nd floor: No ceiling lighting in any of the bedrooms. More of the same for cheap bathroom cabinets and counter tops. Since we moved in all of our drains never drain properly, some of it we just deal with but both tubs need to be fixed a few times a year.
Exterior: The siding on our unit is beyond disgusting. I am not providing pictures to hide my identity to the office for fear of reprisal. The flower beds have never been remulched and are gross. If you drive around the complex you will see many of the garage doors appear to have dents or creases, ours has also developed these unsightly creases where the doors come together. In the winter the walkway freezes every night if the daily temps are high enough since the runoff has no gutter to divert the water (lawsuit waiting to happen).
Amenities/grounds: They have built multipule new units with no expansion to the amenities offered. The gym equipment appears to be over 10 years old and lacking diversity and/or functionality. The sprinkler systems sprays down our patio at 1630 everyday, so in the summer we have to pack up all of cushions and move the family inside for 30 min then come back out to wet patio for the evening. Lastly is the pool. They have 2 pools for an ever expanding community. This year they will have pool attendants present, which is good considering the issues with people who used to walk/drive here from elsewhere to use it. Also, there has been a problem with kids sneaking in after close and very late at night. But at least they bought new pool chairs and tables for the 1%< that will get to use it before hitting capacity.
They have said their rent increases over the last few years are to bring their prices up to market value...well maybe you should updates the units and amentites to market standards as well.
