No one is happy!

Recently, I have met many of my neighbors for the first time and no one is happy. What caused the sudden social outburst? It could be that instead of taking your trash to the trash room in your building, you now have to haul it across the property to one of the few dumpsters. This makes taking out the trash at least a ten minute chore, but it can be much longer if you start to rant with a neighbor about how unreasonable the new trash policy is. However, it is nice that at the dumpster, residents... from various buildings can meet each other and swap stories of the horrors happening. I have heard many tales of air conditioners breaking, apartments flooding, cricket infestations, mold, etc.

The property was built in 23, so residents moved into a brand new "luxury" apartment. Unfortunately, we  realized that the luxury component wears off after a few weeks when the place starts to fall apart. TreyJay Loso and Sutton have cut so many corners that these new apartments are just a big headache that they cannot keep up with the repairs and complaints. Hence maintenance is no longer taking the trash out.
You cannot walk from your car to the building at night without being eaten alive. The bugs are so small that they get through the screens and locked windows, so be prepared to be cleaning a lot. They even make their way through the microwave vent from the outside so I hope you like your leftovers with a side of insect. Nothing is done to alleviate the situation. When it rains, the lots flood and there is stagnate water for days, attracting more bugs. The bugs that get into the entry ways of the buildings are attracted to the light fixtures where they ultimately die. Their remains will stay there for months because no one has cleaned since the original property manager left in April. yes, her replacement is already gone too.

Inside the units, the door handles to fall off, the floor boards to separate, and the air circulation is poor. Maintenance told me that door stoppers weren't in the budget, so be careful when opening closet, bedroom, & bathroom doors. They must have purchased discount batteries for the smoke detectors because all of them now chirp. Loso residents must be deep sleepers to overcome their neighbors' romantic lives, the perpetual light from the bathroom, and the dryer buzzers that can wake the dead. If that’s you and have a few thousand dollars to spare each month, I can't wait to meet you at the dumpster a few buildings away from your unit!

Fantastic location and great community

I have lived the Loso apartments for over a year now. The leasing staff is absolutely wonderful to work with and are very accommodating. The maintenance staff goes above and beyond to help residents with anything that is needed. The hallways in the building are kept spotless as well as the grounds. The units are very modern, bright and spacious. It is very convenient to have our own washer and dryer right in our apartment and not have to share with other residents. The community room is... absolutely gorgeous and the management team often has special get-togethers for residents, for example coffee and pastries, pizza, etc. The deck on the back of the clubhouse is beautiful. It has brand new furniture with fire pits that overlook the marina and lake. There are brand new gas grills that are available for use. They also have kayak racks that can be used by residents to store their kayaks right at the waterfront, which makes it very convenient to launch and spend some time out on the lake. The fitness facility is gorgeous and has all brand new equipment. I think they have done a great job in designing and developing this apartment complex and really feel it is a great community to be a part of.

Happy to live here

I have lived here for about 6 months and am so far very happy. I am a young mom navigating a divorce and wanted to feel safe in my living situation and like there was reliable staff to help fix any problems that might arise while I transition to living alone with my children for the first time. I feel very safe living here and maintenance has come helped me with any issue I’ve had just about immediately (non of my issues were too urgent, minor a/c leak and quick check of my air filter bc I admit... my apartment gets dusty quick- but that’s typical of new construction).

Though it is not perfect (very very pricey +I am also unhappy about the discontinuation of trash removal right from the apartment as someone else mentioned below) it has a lot of great perks. I love the central air, the in unit washer/dryer, the dishwasher, the included cable and internet package - and the community building/gym is really beautiful. Being right on the lake and being able to take my paddle board out really makes me feel at home and peaceful here. Also the leasing office has made it a point to try and make a sense of community with various treats like a free pizza for all residents one night, a free breakfast another day, flowers for all the moms on Mother’s Day, an ice cream truck on another occasion etc…

It’s been a really pretty and comfortable place to re-arrange my head while navigating the divorce process and overall I’m very happy.

Don’t live here!

The place is brand new but falling apart. It may look nice, but everything is cheap and nothing is maintained. The management company bit off more than it can chew. They recently shut down the trash rooms because they don’t have enough maintenance workers to fix everything going wrong and take out the trash. Now, everyone in the 11 buildings has to walk their trash a significant distance away to one of like three dumpsters. Every time it rains, the parking lots flood and there is stagnate water... for days. Mosquitoes and bugs are everywhere (inside and out). Dogs aren’t allowed to pee on the grass anymore. They haven’t cleaned since the previous manager left in April. Who knows what will go wrong next. I haven’t met a single person here who is happy with Loso. You’re probably capable of building a higher quality apartment with your own two hands. Don’t waste your money.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY!!!

This is supposed to be upscale living... Despite the beautiful views and good amenities, maintenance is slow and unresponsive, and if you have to contact management they are slow & unresponsive at times. They forced people to have night lights in the bathrooms that YOU are paying for, you have the option to have the light turned off but if you do so, you will not have adequate lighting. The apartments have been open for over a year and maintenance is just getting around taking the loud dryer... buzzers. I understand we live by the lake but there are constant bugs in units, hallways, and lights. They don't keep up with ensuring a clean environment for the people living at LoSo. They recently took away our garbage rooms, there are only 3 dumpsters and 12 buildings which means you have to walk from one end of the property to the other, this WAS a part of the upscale living until they were taken away with short notice. We were however given a little cart to transport the garbage, something that matinance was previously responsible for. The marina is not maintained and most people don't dare come into the marina and get stuck. There are also retaining ponds that are more like cesspools that need attention. I've also heard multiple people here have said the elevators are garbage. Walls are paper thin, and floors have dips in them making them all un even and that can be a major issue for furniture and safety, It is quite hazardous. I understand there are going to be issues with new buildings but when management and maintenance are unresponsive for the amount of money we pay for this "upscale living" is an issue. I could be living in a large city paying the same rent.
