Best apartment I've ever had
I lived at Beaver Meadow for over four years (May 2018 to September 2022), and loved it; of the six apartments I've had in five states over fourteen years (including my current one), this was by far the best. I moved out only because I was moving cross-country to be closer to family, and if I could've brought the whole building (and Cheryl, the property manager) with me, I would've done it in a heartbeat.
My apartment was nice and spacious, and rent was extremely reasonable. Cheryl was always... responsive to concerns, and maintenance was on the ball. I DID have to buy a washer and dryer for my unit (there are a few coin-operated washers and dryers at the main office, but not in the individual apartment buildings), but it was worth the initial expense to not have to deal with a communal laundry room. $75 extra a month for a garage isn't bad, and it's definitely a worthwhile investment for a North Country winter, especially if you're in the Army and need to be at PT on time. The complex is safe and decently removed from the highway, but Target's immediately accessible, Walmart is right across the street, and most of Watertown's other major businesses are within a 5-minute driving distance, including all sorts of food options.
Special note if you're physically disabled in some way: I was crippled in a training accident in 2018, but I didn't have to move apartments, because all the doorways and spaces are wide enough for a wheelchair or a walker, counters are a good height, and elevators service every floor of the buildings. Moreover, management always called out people who improperly blocked handicapped spots, and they added another handicapped spot to my building's parking lot when another handicapped guy moved in.
Fantastic apartment complex!
