Great for Students, Not So Great Parking
Overall, I’ve enjoyed living here the last two years. The management holds monthly events for the community. They take good care of the property in terms of cleaning, responding to issues, spraying for bugs etc. Maintenance responds quickly to maintenance requests and does semi-annual inspections to make sure fire alarms, lights, and sinks are working as expected.
One complaint is that the computer lounge is outdated. Most of the computers and the software are from 2013, which I don’t think are... regularly updated. The printer also does not reliably work, and sometimes doesn’t have paper or staples available. It used to be connected to the internet, but scanning and emailing yourself isn’t really an option anymore.
My final quip is with the parking. They are now charging $90-95/month for the standard parking for the lot nearby, and usually charge about $40 more for their premium parking with the gates. But neither of these are covered parking spaces, so it’s particularly inconvenient during the winters and summers. For the standard lot parking, the management actually just buys passes from the company that owns the lot, ABM Parking, which are $35/month and pockets the rest.
Since the landlords don’t live on site or nearby, I like to always warn my fellow renters to take before and after pictures of your rooms so the management doesn’t find ways to chip away at your security deposit.
