Not worth it.
The neighborhood is nice & safe & seems to be quiet until you are sleeping at 4 a.m. & you hear the train.Personally I have had several issues that I felt we're not handled correctly which has led to an overall mediocre experience at the property. Rent continues to rise while there are no real improvements made to the apartments. One day I noticed someone painting the rusted air conditioners. The security of the property is often advertised but the outer door to my building was without a lock... for 5 months before being fixed and still is unlocked. In addition, the cameras in both the parking lot & the laundry room are inoperable. My car has been hit before & a neighbor took some items from my laundry & nothing was able to be done because the cameras are fake. Is it legal to advertise cameras knowing that they're inoperable? The two laundry rooms are always clean but I don't believe that 8 washers and dryers is enough to accommodate the entire community. people leave their clothes in the washer and dryer for hours. There is not enough parking for all of the tenant and the parking spaces are very small which causes cars to be very close. You can barely travel the middle aisle of the parking lot. If you come home after 7pm, you have to park far away from your apartment or on the street.Due to the close parking, I have had a threatening note placed on my car (we will never know from whom b/c there are no cameras). And people are often threatened for parking in the fire Lanes. I understand compliance but I find it ironic that they can easily terminate a lease due to that but will not work with people who have real life issues come up. Literally 2 days after I signed my lease renewal form, I found out that I was going to be laid off from my job. I immediately went to sit with the property manager & explain the situation. There was no sympathy given.I asked for the option to cancel the lease since it had only been 2 days since the renewal. She quickly referred me to the lease buyout option (>$2000). I do not expect for managers to just break the rules but I believe that empathy is a part of customer service. Also, the apartments are freezing in the winter time. When I was on maternity leave with my newborn my apartment was 56° and it took two weeks to fix the problem. I had to threaten to report before my lines were bled.I have been patient with this community in affording them the opportunity to address things but overall I just have a bad taste in my mouth.
