no heat maintenance is a joke and the office staff is just plain rude. you get any kind of complaint and they will threaten with eviction every time no matter the complaint

Great Place To Be!

I have lived here since 2012 and it still feels more like home than any other place my wife and I have lived. The neighbors are nice, the buildings (for the most part) are quiet (yeah there’s a Friday night party every week or two but hey you have to cut loose and it’s on a Friday so I understand and they’re usually done by Midnight). There’s ample parking, the trash situation can sometimes be an issue as this community utilizes smaller curbside sized trash bins rather than the usual large... industrial dumpster. These buildings are old. They show their age. Expect noises commiserate with an old building. There is no dishwasher but that’s no issue for me. The water pressure and temperature fluctuates wildly you have to be on your toes! Interstate 275 is directly out your window (if you’re facing it) and you’d think the constant drone of traffic would make it hard to sleep but quite the contrary. You get very used to it. Every time I’ve had maintenance issues they’ve been there very fast. Usually within an hour. I was even loaned a personal space heater from a worker who couldn’t fix my heater late one night a few years ago. The office staff is especially kind and helpful and will go out of their way to help you if you need it. Quite simply there’s no place like Long Acres I’ve ever lived. It makes it very hard to leave.

Nice and affordable place to live

I lived at Long Acres for only 2 months due to my job requiring frequent relocation. I chose Long Acres because I was able to get a two-bedroom apartment for less rent than a one bedroom in other places I looked. They also had a reasonable lease breakage policy, about $1160.00 plus rent for the rest of the month.

The apartment was very clean when I entered. There was a little bit of normal wear and tear, but the maintenance guy took care of everything in a timely manner. Nice neighbors and...
mostly quiet, however the wall mounted air conditioning systems are pretty noisy, and the location is right next to I 275. Very Pet friendly, so expect to have lots of furry, 4-legged neighbors. There are lots of stores and restaurants located nearby in Eastgate, and traffic isn’t horrible (save for the left turn out of Long Acres Drive, which is quite difficult).

The appliances are kind of old and no dishwasher. You have to go outside to use the on-site laundry rooms. The water sometimes fluctuates in pressure.

So yeah, there are some shortcomings, but everything WORKS. The leasing office workers are fair and reasonable as long as you are fair and reasonable with them. Overall, I enjoyed my short time living in this community!
