Save your sanity! Do NOT move here!

If zero stars were possible, I’d rate these apartments zero. The good reviews are totally fake, or they bribe residents for good reviews. Heat and A/C constantly went out and would take months to get fixed. Maintenance & management would go into apartments while residents were gone for “repairs” that would leave the apartments dirty & would eat food out of the fridge, on top of that they wouldn’t lock the door when they left! Multiple instances of package theft & apartments being robbed here.... When moving in, the apartments were dirty. The parking garage door wouldn’t work half the time. It was almost impossible to get anyone on the management team to respond to emails or phone calls, they were hardly ever in the office on site too. All in all, just a terrible experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Save your time and sanity, avoid this place or any complex under this management company.

Living experience

I’ve lived in Cleveland for five years and this by far has been the best experience thus far! From working with the leasing company to find the perfect apartment, to the move in experience and to now living here they do a wonderful job. I’m really happy here- thank you MPG!!

Avoid

The reviews are all true, avoid renting here if you can. Over the course of living here for 15 months we have had working AC and heating for less than half. Ohio Tenant Law states that heating must be provided, and yet, during the winter months we were without heating and into the spring without AC. To their very minor credit they did offer us $200 off on account of "disruption of the AC installation", even though we had requested $500/month for 3-months that the AC and Heat were not working... .

After countless discussions with management, when they can be reached, they did not offer us any rent concessions for advertising an apartment that did not have working AC or heat. The management company finally decided to install units, but this is after over a year (and more if you read others experiences) of people complaining. Furthermore, management is hardly around and extremely difficult to reach making resolutions drag out and forcing tenants in a position where they risk hurting their credit if they don't pay rent for apartments that aren't as described. To add to this, none of our maintenance requests showing the numerous requests made are in the resident portal so you cannot review the previous requests made.

I don't write a lot of reviews because in general, I find things can usually be worked out. This is not the case here, and I would strongly caution anyone considering living here and find somewhere else. Given the cost and general condition of these apartments, you can do better for the same or less.

DO NOT RENT - DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM MY PLACE GROUP

This has been the worst experience I have ever had in an apartment. The HVAC system does not work in the building and the property manager does not respond to emails. I have sent multiple emails with no response. The responses we do receive are typically full of lies, that they are working on the issue and it will be fixed immediately. All lies and deception. We’ve had multiple days of our apartment reaching temperatures more than 90 degrees, sent pictures to the property managers, and no... response.
The kicker was when the mail room was ransacked twice in the span of 3 days. The property manager or owner never sent out an email when it happened, I discovered it on Saturday morning when I went down to grab a package. It took My Place Group almost a week to acknowledge an incident occurred, and then they placed the blame on tenants letting people in. They took no ownership. My Place Group are landlords who do not care about their tenants.
My Place Group is the worst landlord I have ever dealt with. They do not care about their tenants. I can live with issues, and an acknowledgment they are working on it. However, My Place Group has essentially said they do not care. They acknowledged the HVAC issues and have told the tenants they will not fix it, and that they do not care because they have a waiting list. They set up one meeting to meet with tenants, during work hours, and have not responded to other requests to meet with tenants who were not able to make the meeting. They do not have a full-time property manager for a building with 62 units, which is completely unreasonable. My Place Group should be banned from owning properties in Ohio due to their incompetence and lack of caring. They are a company that is understaffed, over-leveraged, and overall terrible at their jobs.
Do not live at Mariner’s Watch or any property owned by My Place Group. The A/C does not work, the building is not secure, there is no on-site property manager or maintenance staff, and at the end of the day, the landlord does not care about the tenants. They have you sign the lease and that is it.
