I lived here for 2.5 years and dealt with various issues that while irritating, were not enough to get me to move (convenient price and location). Slow maintenance, the hassle of an apartment inspection every 3 months, and not being able to receive packages to your apartment are all a hassle.
The final straw which saw me breaking my lease was a plumbing issue which caused my apartment to fill an inch deep with raw sewage. I came home from a week-long backpacking trip and my toliet was gurgling.... I took a shower and about halfway through, it stopped draining. Went to lunch and came home to a bathtub full of sewage. I got the units above me to stop using water, and called emergency maintenance. Maintnenace took 3 hours to respond, during which time to level in the tub fluctuated up and down in a disgusting manner but luckily didn't overfill. Maintnenace plunged the toliet and said they had fixed it, but it still didn't flush. I pointed this out and they called a drain company. Drain company arrived around dinner. I left for dinner and returned home, to the maintenance guy saying "I am so sorry" in the parking lot. Come inside the building and the hall was filled with sewage. I took one look at my unit and booked a hotel for the night. In the morning I discovered they had only mopped. I asked them about the arpet soaked with sewage and they said they'd bring fans. I pointed out that they were soaked with SEWAGE and they said they would steam clean them for a fee. I went hat afternoon and broke my lease. If you moved into 1734B in December/January 2023, I hope you got new carpets...
