No maintenance, no parking, vandalism, terrible management
If you had asked me a month ago I would have told you this place was great. But then we received a notice on our door that management had changed (just like that - no warning, or anything) and since then, things have been awful.
The parking lot is shared with the Walmart, and while that is convenient for residents to go shopping, it's also super convenient for anyone to just come on over into the complex, which leads to a lot of car break-ins and vandalism. Packages are stolen regularly, and a... couple times strangers have come around banging on everyone's windows.
They don't answer phones or emails, and their website is from 1995, so you have to go up to the office to get anything done. If you're lucky, someone will actually be in there. You have to trust that whichever random person DOES show up (and it's been a different one every time) actually writes your name down on their VERY lengthy list of repairs that are not getting done. My upstairs neighbors have not had a working air conditioner for almost 2 weeks now, and every time they go to fix it, ours breaks as well. Toilet was broken for so long that we finally just called a plumber on our own and had him fix it out of our own pocket.
Whoever said goose poop was everywhere is not wrong, but that doesn't bother me because the geese are the only good thing about this place. I've also not had issues with bugs, but the apartment does not provide pest control. We are responsible for spraying our own apartments. I've been thanking the geese for keeping the bug population down, because management sure as heck isn't doing anything about it.
There isn't enough parking, so sometimes you'll come home and there will literally be no place to park. We just got a notice on our door that says they've hired a tow company to come around and do "random" checks every day, but who knows what that means, because there isn't assigned parking, so who knows which cars they'll tow OR how much that's going to raise the rent to cover that cost.
All of this would be fine if the rent wasn't as high as it is. But if I'm paying this kind of money, I could easily live in a much nicer place with management that cares about their tenants. It used to be a great place to live, but now I'm leaving, and don't recommend it to anyone.
