I have had a great experience living here!

We have been living here for almost 4 years and absolutely love it! The only thing that was difficult is during the pandemic the amenities were closed down, but they have opened everything except the clubhouse area for free access. You can still rent it out though. We love our neighbors and the leasing office and maintenance people are amazing. I would definitely recommend this as a place to live! I feel bad for the people that have bad experiences here because we have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Anywhere but here

I've been in the Pallas apartments for 2 weeks through SuiteAmerica (relocation company) and it has been a terrible experience. The entire complex and the units are a dump. There was an ant infestation in my unit and the neighbors smoke throughout the day making your living space smell like smoke. I've had my car towed once after I was told by the relo company I could park in the parallel spots which cost $430 to retrieve. This is close to the Nike campus but not worth the headaches I've had... already. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Look Elsewhere if you own a Car plus Other Issues.

Cons:
Parking is a disaster. I have been here for almost a year and still haven't gotten off of the waitlist for a covered spot. Except for the one time 6 months ago when they told me I got a spot, gave me a new sticker and showed me the spot to park. Wake up the next morning to find out they told me the wrong spot and my car got towed. And instead of giving me the right spot, they gave it to someone else and put me back on the waitlist, where I still am. Or so I thought...since I checked...
in with them a few weeks ago and they informed me they never even had me on the waitlist to begin with...

Good luck if you get home after 7pm because the lot will be full and you can either drive around aimlessly or risk it in the Trimet lot where you will most likely get a ticket. Why is the lot so full you might ask? Well, 1. they hand out WAY to many visitor passes, I alone have 6 of them, meaning if I wanted to I could park 7 cars here alone. 2. People who have assigned spots (shown with green stickers) frequently dont park in the assigned spots and park in the general parking taking up space. 3. Half of the parking stalls are for compact vehicles, which not everyone has and thus people will often take up two spots for one large truck. 4. And lastly, some people who live in the townhouses dont use there garages for there vehicles and instead park in the general lot and use the garages for storage. None of these should or would be issues if the complex did a proper job of enforcing their own rules.

Bonus Cons:
My water heater broke in my unit, it took them about a week to replace it. On top of that, they had to run a dehumidifier in my unit, which charged me about $300 of electricity, and they agreed to only refund me half of that.

They also have a "dog park" here which is a joke because for some reason they decided to fill it with small sharp stones. My dogs refuse to run around in it because their feet get cut up. Not to mention, despite having dog pickup stations everywhere it seems like half the residents dont care to pick up their dogs droppings.

Pros:
Location.

You can do better

Look elsewhere; if you take nothing else from this review just know that you can do better than Pallas. Pallas use to be called LaSalle, but because its poor reputation and reviews they have tried re-branding. Renting at Pallas has been the worse experience I have ever had with an apartment complex in 22 years of renting. I will first start with the issue of security or more like the lack thereof. The leasing staff loves to tell people how they benefit from Nike Security which is just BS and... a lie. Never in my life have I lived somewhere were the police have come to my door looking for my neighbors which happened twice, plus the undercover police operation that happened in the area of my unit. The security company that they have contracted with to patrol the complex also patrols other apartment complexes. So when you call it is a 50/50 shot if they answer the phone and the average response is about 21 minutes. Lastly you can watch transience go through the dumpster in the complex daily.
The units themselves are old and the complexes idea of upgrading is some new floors and counter tops and that is it. The walls are paper-thin, and the electrical is dated. The lights flicker when you are using newer electronics as the wiring can’t handle the strain. Then on any maintenance issues the maintenance workers told me directly that they are not supposed to spend any money tiring to fix anything, so repair work is of poor standard. Also a warning for anyone moving from out of state there is no A/C in the units, and the outside noise makes it unbearable most days to have the windows open.
If you think it is worth moving there to be close to max don’t. It is free to park and ride with is between the complex and the station. Move somewhere else and just park if that is an option. Lastly if you experience any real issues the office staff is like dealing with used cars salesman. They will tell you anything they think you will want to hear just to get you out the door, but don’t do anything about anything. There is so much more but I hope this is enough to make you think twice.

You Can Do Better.

RUUUUUNNN!!!!! Living here is a nightmare. if you love overpriced units, no parking, paying for towing and shitty attitudes from the staff then you found the right place. been here for 2 years so far and what a horrible place. started at a unit then moved to a town home thinking it was gonna be better but nope still horrible. cant cook without playing russian roullette with my stove every time I cook. I work graveyard so parking is impossible here when I get off work. Only when I have issues I... get the shitty attitude from the staff but if i'm there to pick up packages I get the heart warming hospitality what a joke. all in all this place sucks I would try the place across the street maybe they have better units and a better system.
