Rivergreens Apartments

I lived here for about a year previously. Rivergreens apartment was a place that I would stay at again. The maintenance team was very quick to respond to issues after placing a ticket. Free parking was offered on site in a parking lot. I had some older appliances in my unit that I was able to get replaced during my stay as they eventually did function properly. You are responsible for all utilities. The area was very safe. I would walk around the area at night as I worked third shift. Price was... also very competitive for the area. Location was nice as it was very close to the 205 freeway. There is a short little hiking trail behind the complex, next to a park, that leads to the Willamette river.

As for the negatives, the application process was overall pretty abysmal. The units they show available on their website is rarely updated. If you try to reach the office by phone, it is difficult to reach anybody. I had to spend an afternoon calling every 15 minutes to finally reach somebody. Then I scheduled a phone call for later and nobody ever called me back. If you ever need to reach the leasing office as a resident, it is better to simply walk-in as phone is rarely answered.
The complex is definitely on the older side. Units show their age with creaky floorboards, bathtubs, and older appliances. Their is very little to no soundproofing/weather-stripping on the windows or doorways. I could hear everything that happened in the parking lot from my bedroom window, which made sleeping with earplugs mandatory as a third shifter. My unit was almost always extremely cold as lack of insulation/weather-stripping and only baseboard heaters in the rooms. There was a fireplace if you plan to use that.
Another small issue, my parking space was about 200 feet away from my unit. It's not a long walk, but just know if you have a lot of groceries or such that it might be a worth investing in comfortable tote bags.

By far the worst application experience I have ever been through.

All of their phone and email systems are automated and it's impossible to actually speak to anyone at the apartments without calling 3 times in a row.

Over 20 emails over the course of a month, not a single response beyond look at our website, even though the website says speak to a representative. A dozen voicemails left and zero reply. Forced to sign up for an account on their application site that no one actually updates....

When you complete an application you are sent to a random website without any instructions beyond "enter you're bank account number, enter your banking password"

Absolutely disgusting and infuriating process. Waste of hours of time and all the application fees.

Standard apartment community that would appeal to golf enthusiasts especially and provides adequate amenities in close proximity to the greater Portland Metro area.

It's a nice place to live there up on every thing the place clean and quiet

I had three minor repairs needed, and Araya assisted me with scheduling the best time for me. I was contacted in less than 24 hours, and repairs were handled quickly and efficiently. Santiago is a great asset to the Team, and the whole Maintenance team, and office too!
