We know that choosing a place to call home is one of the most important decisions you make. We also know that if it weren't for our tenants, we wouldn't be here. We're committed... to reciprocating the faith by providing a clean, secure, elegant, thoughtfully-designed apartment home community that provides more than shelter - one that fosters a sene of sanctuary - a safe, relaxing place of comfort which supports your health and total well-being. Maybe it's the design, maybe it's the scale - just 13 units, or perhaps the attentive management, or perhaps a hybrid of all three. Whatever the contributing factors, we are proud of the sense of community that flourishes at The Courtyard. "We look out for one another" was one comment in a recent review. It's true there is something special about the Courtyard family, and this is the likely reason for the low turnover rate we enjoy, and also what inspires US to be the best proprietors we can. We are confident you won't find anything remotely similar, or this high in quality for the value.
What does being the best proprietors we can be look like? It looks like a recently-completed, three-year-labor-of-love re-modeling the property from top to bottom, inside and out, including all of the grounds AND the parking lot. A resident was recently heard saying, "Its like a freaking resort now". Renovations include but are not limited to, a new water main that delivers fresh, clean, water directly to all thirteen units. New, professionally-designed landscaping gives the exterior setting of your new home a lush, tranquil vibe. You'll be sure to appreciate the enhanced security of the grounds as they are encircled & defined by a new 7 ft Ameristar security fencing system. This major upgrade has transformed the look and feel of the Courtyard! The assigned-spaces parking lot has been freshly re-paved.
What's more, the exterior and interiors have been updated with new paint. The interiors have undergone complete remodels of kitchens & bathrooms - with kitchens being fitted with all new stainless steel appliances. Each unit boasts new, dual-pane windows and new vinyl flooring. The list continues, we've installed a new playground, a lush lawn, new planters and trees throughout, and community garden plots. Completed this Summer - five new convenient tenant storage units! What's next? A smore-loving fire pit which will be located in the courtyard between north and south buildings.
Of all the completed renovations these three past, busy, years, we're most proud of the overhaul of the system which delivers water to the complex. In a time in which water quality and the country's aging infrastructure concerns are on the rise, we've removed ALL the old galvanized pipes, and ran new pecs piping from the city's water main directly to each of the 13 units! This major investment was made because over time pipes corrode, get clogged with waste matter, are prone to leaks, produce discolored water, decreased water pressure, and bizarre noises that keep you up at night! In fact, hot water pipes are the first to go. We want our tenants to have complete confidence that their water is not contaminated. While of no cosmetic value, this is the most meaningful upgrade that has been made to the complex from our perspective.
Avid animal lovers ourselves, we're both cat and dog friendly; It is for this very reason that we regret to say we cannot accept dogs over a 100 pounds; We believe big dogs simply deserve to live in bigger environments for their quality of life.
More about the location: Our unique small complex is comprised of two buildings - South & North, which are united by a courtyard. It is situated on a tree-lined flag lot, quietly tucked away from Hogan Drive. The complex was originally built in the 1970's, and even though the complex has been completely remodeled-to-the-inch, inside and out; Most, if not all, of the original, charming details have been preserved. The location is steps away from retail shopping, transportation, hospitality, health care, and a few short miles from restaurants and exciting PNW recreational opportunities.
Outdoorsy types will love the location's proximity to the Columbia River that runs along side the city, to Oregon's beautiful coastline, to the area's majestic mountain which is covered in fluffy, powder each winter awaiting you, skiing enthusiast! Home Sweet Home!
I felt so lucky to get this apartment- it had everything I wanted and needed. I love that it is a small community and you couldn't ask for better landlords! My apartment is more like a real "House" and not just another cookie cutter apartment. I love the fireplace and in unit washer/dryer. These apartments have been renovated in an exquisite, contemporary design. The people here look out for one another which is also a big plus. Call out to Mgr. Stephanie who goes above and beyond for the... tenants!

Our experience at Courtyard on Hogan has been excellent. Friendly neighbors and the staff have been very helpful. Any issue I may have has been handled immediately which we appreciate!

Safe place and friendly neighbors!
I've lived here for about a year. The owner has made some great improvements to the courtyard and the aesthetics of the exterior. Our unit was fully remodeled inside, including appliances.
Neighbors are super cool and everyone looks out for each other. Feels so much safer here than any of those larger apartment complexes. I would recommend this place!

Wonderful community safe place
Small community with great neighbors!
The courtyard is being remodeled management keeps everyone informed on what’s going on. If there’s any issues, management takes care of it. I’ve lived here for 3 years.

Orange water!
Management knew for god knows how long, that their pipes were rusted. They didn’t warn the tenants and when management was told about how the water has something in it that makes it leave an orange residue, they said “oh yeah we are working on that” they have been “working on it” for months. This is something you warn tenants about!
