How Is This Rating Determined?

Not worth the cost

Lived here for 10 years. Very few complaints. New corporate owners from out of state took over in Dec, 2019, and that has not been a positive change. Rent increases without any needed updates, poor customer service, maintenance no longer on site, and tenants are just a number now rather than a person. I don’t plan to stay much longer.

Thank you for your rating and we were sorry to read that are you not happy with the changes underway at Newberry. It is understandable, as not much changed, including the rents, for many years prior to the sale. The property was purchased in... December 2019 and is currently managed by NDC Asset Management, located in Pittsburgh. NDC is a well-respected, established management company and we take your concerns very seriously. Since the change of ownership, we have made numerous improvements to the property including new pole lighting exterior building lighting. We have replaced two roofs and are in the process of replacing a third, improved the landscaping and replaced the signage. We are currently renovating the interiors of each apartment as they become vacant. We planned to replace the patio fences, but Covid and the wood supply chain, got in the way. As soon as that changes and weather permits, it is our plan to replace them. Our Manager, Breanna Dismuke, is onsite Monday to Thursday from 9 to 4:30. If you are still living with us, please stop in the office for a cup of coffee and we can further discuss your concerns.
