Cockroaches, Stove didn't work, OUTRAGEOUS NOISE FROM UPSTAIRS NEIGHBORS
Our day to move in We were told we had not paid our $600 non-refundable pet fee, when it in fact was paid, it took 3 people to look at the same document to figure out it was in fact paid. We almost thought we weren't going to have a place to live. We moved into our apartment with no working oven/stove. It took them almost 3 weeks to show up to fix it when the office was immediately notified it was not working and the office worker "texted" maintenance that it needed done. A few days after moving... in we noticed bugs crawling everywhere, the entire building has a cockroach problem. We tried taking care of it ourselves with no luck, so we had to contact the office again about more MOVE IN problems. The pest control person randomly shows up to spray constantly(even just the hallways) and it SMELLS! They make you sign a part of your lease where they can gain entry at anytime when you're not home, to do whatever work they feel needs done. They do not contact you ahead of time either to give notice of people coming. The bathtub was poorly attempted to be fixed and left caulking that comes off when you clean the tub and ends up in your bath water. All the drains are clogged from the get go of moving in. There were attempts made to ask the upstairs neighbors to be quiet after quiet hours and the leasing office only offered the help of telling us to call the cops. I have no idea what else they have done IF ANYTHING to help with that problem because they are insanely loud EVERY SINGLE DAY AND NIGHT! I made several attempts to communicate with the office staff about having people randomly show up at our apartment and trying to gain entry while no one is home, and their response was as follows - "The lease does not require notice of our entry only that we leave something behind after the visit occurs." BEWARE OF WHAT YOUR SIGNING!! Especially when you have pets! Also, the monthly electric bill from the central AC and poor insulation/needed window & balcony fixes is over $150+ a month. They got almost $15k + $600 pet deposit in one year from us and the only "upgrades" they made to the entire building was to re-do the balconies (THEY PAINTED THEM).. AND they're raising rent!? 10/10 would not recommend.
