You pay a lot to be treated awful
We paid a lot to live here FOR ONLY ONE YEAR and we STILL are after moving out. When we moved in, it was obvious someone with children lived there before. We were constantly finding toys under stoves, sink, refrigerator, etc. The place was hardly clean when we moved in, and then when we moved out, it looked way better. And yet when it was time to get my deposit back, I was getting charged for the awful mildew carpet I was given.
Pros
1. We live in the south townhouses. Always parking... available.
2. Within walking distance to train station, Wawa, Acme, and other restaurants and shopping.
3. Safe area, day and night.
4. Maintenance is great.
Cons
1. The lease process was a disaster. I constantly had to call to remind them to process it and it took two weeks of them saying they forgot, and then they wanted to rush it at the last second and said they were “doing me a favor.” Melissa asked me to do some illegal things and was EXTREMELY rude. If you have to deal with her, RUN AWAY. She is the #1 complaint of all residents and I honestly do not know how she still works there. She treats you like garbage and then DEMANDS you thank you for it.
2. The ceiling was not high enough to fit a queen size bed. So if you’re moving into the south townhomes, you’ll have to get a bed that can fold in half easily or order one that comes in a bed in a box. Don’t even think of trying to get a box spring up the stairs unless it’s a twin.
3. They said the oil tank would be filled. It wasn’t. Had to call and remind them. Shocking. Then they removed the oil tank and the apartment smelled for weeks in the summer.
4. Be prepared to steam your carpets before moving your furniture in! Mildew galore.
5. I’m not sure how safe it is to breathe the air in the basement. We bought respirator masks to wear down there because it felt so awful to breathe down there. When it rains expect moisture. Don’t keep your stuff against the wall and put it in air tight containers and get a dehumidifier.
6. Even talking to neighbors who’ve lived here for 20 years, the management (mostly Melissa) treats everyone like a piece of dirt beneath her shoes. Avoid if you have blood pressure issues.
7. The AC barely works and is expensive. Better to get a window unit.
8. Small bathrooms, small kitchen.
9. The troll at the pool takes her job very seriously and no matter how much you prove you live there will make your life hell to let you in. You have to pay for guests to swim.
