This neighborhood is convenient to everything, but not in the middle of it all. Walk a few blocks in any direction for all types of activities. From Penn's Landing to South Street, Passyunk Square to the gayborhood, Avenue of the Arts to Rittenhouse Square. But honestly, you don't need to go more than a few blocks for some of the best restaurants and bars in the city.

Passyunk Avenue has become a mecca for trendy new restaurants, and many are amazing. South Street is known for eclectic shopping, divey bars, and a variety of good quick food options. The Washington Avenue area has become nicknamed "Little Saigon" for its very rich variety in ethnic restaurants. Fourth Street ("Fabric Row") is also becoming a happenin' strip, and is just a few blocks away. Of course one of the more well-known stops, the Italian Market, is just two blocks west.

You can get basically to anything and everything you might need in this section of the city, and most within a few blocks of the house. There are both a CVS and a Rite-Aid nearby, for groceries - Whole Foods, Superfresh, and ACME within walking distance, and within a couple miles car ride - a Target.
