WARNING: RAT-INFESTED APARTMENT & HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!
People, there is a rat in my apartment, and this is how the manager responded:
"Unfortunately, it is possible to have a mouse anywhere. I had a mouse in my house this weekend as well. Mice come out with the changes of the seasons. Thankfully, I have a cat that could take care of it. Maintenance is stopping by this morning to put a trap and check for possible holes. You can help prevent mice by keeping your dry goods in plastic containers and ensuring your house is free of crumbs in the kitchen.... Unfortunately, this can happen anywhere and is not an excuse to terminate a lease."
Yes, you read that right. Their solution? Get a cat. Meanwhile, I pay rent to live with rodents!
I work at UPenn, and I deeply regret renting this apartment. The management is a nightmare—rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Don’t be fooled by the fact that this building is new; it’s made of cheap materials and is falling apart. To make things worse, cockroaches are everywhere!
They refuse to help tenants leave, so if you move in, be prepared to live with rats and deal with an unprofessional management team that does not care about your health or living conditions.
Avoid this place at all costs!

Property Manager at OLYMPIC TOWER APARTMENTS responded to this review
Unfortunately, this tenant attempted to take advantage of various social platforms in her desire to break her lease. After discussions with management, the tenant was informed that the lease is a legally binding contract, designed to protect both the... landlord and the tenant. A few months ago, she expressed her wish to break the lease in the middle of its term due to personal reasons.
We have been operating at this location for nearly two years and have over twenty-five years of experience in the West Philadelphia area. During this time, we have not received a single complaint about mice activity in the building. After our staff inspected the apartment, they found no evidence of any mice, and the partner living in the apartment also confirmed that there has been no sign of rodents.
Regarding the tenant's statement about construction materials, it is unclear what expertise she has to make such claims. This building meets the highest standards of green construction, has passed all inspections, and has positively contributed to our community. In our twenty-five years of management, we have learned that it is impossible to satisfy everyone.
