CAUTION— NOT THE BUILDING YOU THINK IT IS!
We have lived at The Alexander for a very long time, but thankfully are no longer there. As one of the earlier residents at this property, if you asked me to give a rating years ago I would have given it a 4, or possibly even a 5. Now, it barely earns 1 star. For starters, management within the last year or so has completely gone downhill. It is now run by rude people who really don’t care about their jobs and the residents, not to mention many of them use the property as their own personal... party spot. The maintenance staff has also become completely useless to residents, and they—along with people in management/leasing—are some of the rudest people I have ever met in my life. We had to endure many frustrating situations with them because appliances began to break down, and there were multiple floods in the building. With all the issues with the building employees and the multiple maintenance issues, the final straw for us was that they tried to raise our rent by hundreds and hundreds of dollars. For what!? They did not deserve one more cent from us, and I hope people seriously consider what they are actually getting with these increasingly abhorrent rent prices. It’s truly a shame. I hope Greystar does something because this building had such great potential.
