good location. very loud. management is hit or miss.
Apartment opened up just this past year(21) and I lived here for a full 12 months. I had an apartment facing Steven Street and the noise from every car that passes by will wake you up in the morning if you are a light sleeper because it’s a road between two hospitals. The walls don’t provide much soundproofing for inside the building either, if someone is in the hallway they may as well be in you’re apartment for how clear you can hear them. if you live near the mailboxes, you will hear it every... single day. It might’ve just been an issue since I lived here the first year but the management is based in Spartanburg so there’s no immediate help with needed. Getting Wi-Fi set up was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. having packages delivered was stressful because there’s not a clear front door or drop off point for Amazon, UPS or FedEx (usps has key.). Had an issue with fruit flies and tiny these tiny little spiders that got in from the windows because the building is 100 years old and the window seal had cracks in them. Old building comes with old problems. The location is great. If you work downtown, you can get there in less than 10 minutes every day no matter what time. neighborhood can get it sort of sketchy at night so i had to demand for a lock to be put my the door for safety they only come with a basic handle button lock. It’s good for the location and price but i would not live hear if you don’t like hearing your neighbors / them hearing you, or if you expect the bare minimum in amenities. Parking is great thought biggest perk.
