Poor Experience Living Here
I don't recommend living here.
My unit is quite dated. The window frames are completely worn out. I cannot leave my windows open because they slam shut. Most of the windows in my unit let in a draft because they're not fitted properly. The dishwasher is old, and I've had issues with the line leaking. The kitchen tile and counters are old and chipped. The tub and sinks in the bathroom are stained and worn. My one bathroom sink does not drain properly because it has the wrong kind of stopper in... it. When I moved in, my sinks didn't even have stoppers. There are cracks and stains on the walls. The paint job in and floor in the living room is newer, but the work was cheaply done. When I moved in, I had a hard time opening the bedroom doors because they were painted shut or closed before the paint was dry. I had to scrub paint and floor adhesive off the floors, and I've had adhesive leaking from my floors in the living room well after I moved into my unit.
The property itself isn't really well maintained. A groundskeeper comes several times a week, but there's been a consistent issue with other residents leaving litter around the property. There's also been issues with the garbage overflowing. The property manager is aware of the issue so hopefully it improves.
Work orders can take a while to complete because there is only one maintenance person. I've been unable to reach maintenance when I've called the emergency line on the weekend. In addition, some of the solutions the property management company offers aren't solutions at all. For example, many of the windows in my unit do not stay open because the frames are completely worn. I've been told that I can prop my windows open with something. This is not a safe or appropriate solution for the amount of money I pay each month.
On top of that, I've had consistent issues with bugs in my unit (palmetto bugs, spiders, stink bugs, and ants), guests parking where they shouldn't park, and dogs running loose.
