Customer service needs work

I made an appointment to view an apt over two months ago. I called to confirm date and time yesterday. I walked in to the leasing office on time for said appointment. Assistant informed me that I had no appointment scheduled for that day but for the following day. I just drove one hour from Clarksville for this and it was a waste of my time.

Worst place I ever lives

It was fine at first… but then it went south

Our neighbors said we walked too loud, so staff told us we weren’t allowed to let our pet have toys and we needed to always remove our shoes inside. The office called us at least weekly to remind us not to wear our shoes inside, because it was too loud.

Besides that there was dog pee in the stairwells, hallways smell like smoke. My car got broken into in the gated garage and the apartment complex told us they didnt even have security cameras. ...

Since then there’s been news stories of robberies inside the building, someone got shot w rubber bullets while walking her dog on the sidewalk.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this place

I mean if noise is your thing that you’ll like it.

I loved living here— in the beginning when the housing was still finishing construction. However, after all of that was finished the apartment left much to be desired. The apartment has its quarks and things that I like and dislike. The worst part is the $500 washer/dryer combo that you get in the “luxury” building... it’s hardly luxury. My largest complaint is with the residents of the building. If you loved the annoying neighbors, loud parties at all hours and days of the week, and just... overall uncleanliness of your college fraternity or sorority house, LC Germantown is the place for you. Even after NUMEROUS complaints about the noise, the management still has yet to find a solution. Residents will camp out on the terraces and common areas before the doors auto lock so they can let their friends in and have massive parties that rage LITERALLY ALL NIGHT LONG so good luck trying to get any sleep if your windows overlook any of the common areas. When approaching management for the complaints I get a “the courtesy officer is supposed to make rounds” response, but clearly doesn’t happen. I didn’t want to publicly have to make complaints but seeing as no resolution has come from keeping it internal I have no option. Oh yeah, another issue I had was how the community handled the tornado. When it ripped through the community they got these “lanterns to light the halls” that hardly lit a one foot radius around the lantern leaving residents very exposed and dangerous; furthermore, they encouraged us to seek refuge at other places until the power would be restored yet didn’t bother to compensate us or prorate the rent for the time we weren’t there when friends in other Germantown communities got those perks. Overall very displeased with living here and I am literally counting down the days until move out.

NOT enough parking.

Do not live here unless you don't have a car. LC Germantown does NOT have enough parking. The horrible corporate management decided to cheap out on their very overpriced apartments and didn't build nearly enough parking.

When I moved in, I was guaranteed a parking spot and told parking would not be a problem. That was a lie. There is no assigned parking and there are not enough spots available. Because there were not enough spots, first residents started parking on the streets. Then LC called...
that a no parking zone and started booting anybody that parked on the street. Then, residents started making the aisles one car longer. LC started booting those cars too. Residents tried parking on the pavers inside the community and LC booted them.

I have talked to residents who parked in a space WITH THEIR STICKER SHOWING and were booted with no explanation.

I regularly have to park several blocks away on the street.

And that's for a RESIDENT with a sticker. There is ZERO parking available for guests. If you want to have a friend visit, they will have to park at least two blocks away, if they're lucky.

Property Manager at LC Germantown responded to this review

Good Morning,Thank you for bringing the parking situation to our attention. I would love for you to reach out to me directly at mbeach@lifestylecommunities.com so that we can potentially come to a solution that may work better for you. Every unit... currently occupied should have one spot and we want to make sure you have that. I look forward to hearing from you.

Don't Move In Just Yet

I have been living here for almost 6 months. While the community is (mostly) lovely, the units are are good for the price, and the staff is very friendly and helpful, I would not recommend that you move in here for another few months or even an year. We moved in while construction was going on in most of the apartments, units on our floor hadn't even been finished. With that said, our apartment shows it was a rush job. Part of the wall is insanely crooked, the cupboard doors don't close properly... , there's paint drips on the windows and the carpet, our thermostat wasn't wired correctly. Inconveniences and annoyances, not a huge deal. However, the "general" parking which is meant for people who have two or more cars per unit (you only get one secure parking spot per unit) is open to the public. They took out two rows of parking to reserve for random people eating at The Goat. People who are paying rent to have a parking spot, are no longer guaranteed a spot because there's no security in who gets to drive into the garage. Only now have they started booted cars that don't have the parking permit. People do not pick up after their dogs. There is dog poop every where. Nothing has yet to be done regarding keeping people from parking on Madison Street (the street you take to get in the general garage). It's packed on either side, and the cars block the view entering or leaving the garage. People park on the sidewalk. The gym, which was supposed to be done in the summer, won't be finished until January. I am disappointed and most likely will not be renewing my lease.
