BEWARE of Tara Hills Apartment

I have lived at Tara Hills for 4 months and I have been disappointed with my living situation since I moved in. My bathroom has leaked since I moved in, and the management continues to tell me there is no leaking even though I'm living with it every day. A few weeks ago, I had a leak in my kitchen which destroyed cabinets. I was told that I was receiving new cabinets that was Nov 28, 2023. I haven't been able to use my kitchen due to it being under contraction since Nov. It is now Dec 20, 2023,... and my kitchen is not complete. Every time I contact management, they give me a different explanation on why I haven't received my cabinets. I've called the city cause of the constant leaks in my bathroom and that there are no screens on any of my windows. I wouldn't recommend this rental to my worst enemy. BEWARE of Tara Hills Apartment.

Not worth your time.

TL;DR - Find somewhere else to live. This place isn't worth your time if you want proper maintenance.

To start, I've lived here for something like 4 years and haven't had much of a problem, as any issues I had would be promptly remedied.
My Air Conditioning(AC) has been out since early March and I put in request to have this fixed at that time. After the first couple weeks, they stopped coming by and I just wrote it off as them being busy. "Surely they'll be out next week." I kept thinking.
To...
my great misfortune, they had straight up closed out my ticket without verifying whether or not my issue was resolved.
In the past, an issue like this would usually be fixed in a couple weeks max.
So I opened another ticket in early April and to no surprise, a month later, the issue wasn't fixed and I had been completely forgotten about. (To their credit they did come out and fiddle with it for a few times one week. But I was promptly ignored after.)
Though due to it being spring I was in no need for it at the moment so I was still naively being lenient and hoping they would come back by to fix my AC before summer.
Nope. I waited another month and its starting to get hotter out so I checked on my ticket. The ticket was gone with no history of it on the website for me.
So I opened YET ANOTHER TICKET mid June.
This time they brought me a portable AC so I figured, "Okay. At least I have this now." But this AC is only able to really keep one room cool at a time so I have to switch it between the living room and my bedroom when I want to sleep.
And here we go again, ignored for another month and still no AC.
My electric bill has gone up $100 a month due to having to run the portable ac 24/7 to feel comfortable and the office/company that owns this place, is refusing to give me a refund or any compensation despite the fact that my lease was signed with the intent that I'd have AC.
I've enter another ticket in hopes that this will finally be remedied but the office just gives constant excuses. "We have new management.", "There are others ahead of you that have had no AC for longer.", etc.
Personally, I don't think this is any excuse since if I knew that this apartment would have no AC for half a year, I would not have signed the lease in the first place.
On top of all this, this year they seemed to bump up rent the most they can along with adding additional expenses to your rent so they don't have to spend more money.

Avoid

The buildings aren’t aging well and the laundry facility has been in disrepair for the better part of a year. The management isn’t capable of fixing these issues apparently. You do not get what you pay for and they are raising the rent anyway.

Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

It’s unbelievable stressful here and maintenance will not fix major issues. It has effected the health of my family.
