Worst Renting Experience
My lease is up soon and I am counting the days.
Apartments do not get cooler than 80 degrees in the summer, the complex is aware of this and will not do anything to help. They say this is normal for summer in Texas.
A construction site has moved in next door, so sleeping in after 7am is almost impossible.
If you have a personality that the property manager likes, you may have an easier time getting help than I did. I was mostly met with smirks, sarcasm, and dismissive language.

Great apt complex!
I found this place on a whim and I actually really loved it here. Its quiet, everyone is so nice, and so helpful. And they keep the yard really nice so my pup was always so happy!

Great responsive management and maintenance
It's an older apartment complex, but great responsive management and maintenance. Google fiber and pool were great

Pleasant Place to Live
I really enjoyed living here for two years. I lived in a studio but it felt like a 1br when I put a curtain between the living room and my room. It was my first place in Austin and I loved being so close to everything. I moved away because I needed more privacy & better parking, and I was fed up with the community washers/dryers.
Positives:
Savannah, the manager, is absolutely amazing!! She's extremely friendly & understanding and her communications were always timely and helpful. She always... went above and beyond for me and many others, I'm sure.
Maintenance was always done quickly and correctly
Close to downtown
High ceilings
Tastefully renovated, nice counter-tops, floors, and fixtures
Updated black appliances (gas stove)
Higher than normal counter tops, great for tall folks
Free Google fiber internet
No hidden costs, all I paid was rent, water, gas, and electric
Close to the river
Nice pool area
Tropical landscaping
Friendly neighbors
Although it's not in the best part of town, it is super safe to walk around the community at night
Negatives:
Shared balcony (studio)
Limited storage (studio)
Extremely limited parking, had to park on the street at least once a week
There was a creature in the ceiling for a few months that they couldn't seem to get rid of which was annoying.
No washer dryer connections in the studios; the community washers/dryers were often broken
The hot water took forever to get warm, I would leave my sink running and go do something else to come back and do dishes (I used the dishwasher for storage)
Not the best part of town, there are prostitutes and drug dealers roaming around but my car was never messed with
Crappy insulation, you can hear everything from neighbors and the a/c runs constantly in the early evenings (when it's hot outside)
If you are a woman, expect to get cat-called or stared at while simply walking to your car
If you move here, go to the congress heb (not riverside)

Wonderful management and maintenance
I lived here for my first year moving to Austin. The first thing to know about this apartment is the management and maintenance are fantastic. If you have a pet this apartment is great, there is only a pet fee no monthly pet rent. It’s very close to great food, grocery, and a short less than 10 minute drive to downtown.
Overall this is a fantastic place to live. The only real downside is not having washer dryer in unit, but for me that wasn’t that big of a deal.
