Do NOT move here.
I would advise you in the strongest possible terms to not rent or purchase at Ellis Highline. My experience with both the property itself and the management team has been stressful, unnecessarily contentious, and unenjoyable.
While the property is beautiful and looks inviting, it has a plethora of issues. Lack of adequate parking being one of the biggest; often residents have to park across the street because there is no available parking, and there is virtually no guest parking what so ever.... Car break-ins and thefts regularly occur, my own vehicle was stolen from WITHIN the gates. Ellis Highline management refused to release security footage to me or even discuss details of the incident, I had to get the detective working the case to contact them to demand to see the footage.
The second biggest issues is property access; each doors requires a FOB to enter, with an app also being available for residents to use. It’s a regular occurrence that the doors do not function properly and residents have to go around to other doors or wait for someone to come out. Ironically, the building is somehow not secure at all as there have been unhoused individuals sleeping in the hallway.
Ellis Highline touts itself as being “pet friendly”, but the only available green space is a 10X20 patch of AstroTurf by the dumpsters, everything else is rock. Since I moved in 6 months ago, there have been several false fire alarms each month at all times of the day. This issue has not been addressed and does not seem to be a priority for the management team.
I’m not even sure Ellis Highline has a “management team” as I have emailed them countless times to resolve ongoing issues and only one leasing agent has gotten back to me.
In short, I won’t be renewing my lease here and recommend you look elsewhere.
