LIVE ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE

I dont even know where to start...

TLDR - this apartment complex is the worst do not waste your time or money. Literally live anywhere else if you can.

When I first moved in the AC was not working. Took them a total of 5 days of me hounding to fix it. The manger had the audacity to tell me it was already fixed on day 3 of me saying it wasnt.

for over 5 months the gate didnt work. Which led to break ins in vehicles and break ins to our mailbox. They also decided to not tell anyone the mail was...
being stolen. I only found out because when i went to get my mail the mail man said the mail was being stolen for over a month and that hes let management know and they dont seem to care. I confronted them about it and said they should at least tell everyone. They said it was a north austin issue and not their issue. like what?

I bought a garage and the clicker would not work sometimes. Every-time i brought it in for a new one they said it was fine and they fixed it. TWICE i was not able to access my vehicle because the clicker wouldnt open the garage and it was weekend after hours so I had to uber. I dealt with that for over a month before they gave me a new clicker.

Heres another fun reason why they are the worst. My gf would visit a lot (from 4 hours away) and to make it easier for her I wanted to add her vehicle to the lease so there was no issues on it getting towed if she forgot to sign up as a daily visitor. (keep in mind i had a lease for a 2br apt) They said I had to add her to the lease and an application fee of $75 which i argued is dumb but whatever i said ok. After she completed the application they said she had to do a security deposit of $375 and when i told them nevermind they said well we know shes staying with you so we will charge you a lease violation if you dont pay (even tho she was not living with me but she was there a lot of the time).

I also moved out 4 months early because the place was that horrible i opted to not break the lease cause it would cost me 4 months of rent. After clearing out the apt i was told i had to keep the utilities on even though nobody was there again i said fine i moved out left the AC on at 78 to be generous and these people changed it to 68 I only realized when my bill was outrageously high while I was not even there.

Horrible Apartment

Save yourself time and money and DO NOT live here. It is the absolute worst and there’s nothing you can do about it honestly. The cost may seem ideal in the beginning but trust me you will be out of more money from extra charges to getting towed and they will never accommodate you. Valet trash is a joke. Their trash situation is always a mess. The gates are typically broken. There was a shooting in the complex in 2021 which I feel could’ve been prevented had the gates been working. The staff... could not be more detached from the residents. You try to follow their rules only for them to wiggle out of accountability in the end.
I bought a brand new 2023 Kia while I was visiting my family in Mississippi and drove it back to tech ridge on a Saturday. Obviously the office was closed so registered everything make/model/year/color/vin. The only detail I could not register was the tag # because Mississippi does not give temporary tags. I even went further and called the emergency line at tech ridge, (which no one answered) but I left a voicemail telling them I bought i new car and I registered it as best I could. But of course my car was towed! I sent them proof of me registering my car and how I had no temporary tag because my car was out of state. They basically told me it was the towing company’s problem and that they wouldn’t reimburse me. Typical!
The basketball goal is usually broken and their gym door is weird, I saw many people be deterred from working out because they couldn’t get through the door. I had to personally make them come from out of the office and show us how to get into the gym.
Lastly, my shower had mold because the caulking was poorly done and when you move out you better have lots of cash. They told us we could paint an accent wall, and when we move out just ask maintenance for a sample paint so we can paint it back before we move out. Well tech ridge would never give us a sample of the paint so we just tried to match it on our own at home depot. Didn’t matter. Be prepared to be charged with everything under the sun. Especially the things you asked them to fix during your stay. It will be on your bill after you move out. Just don’t bother with this place y’all!

Dirty unsafe hidden fees

I don’t know how they stay in business. Probably by changing managers and the name every couple years. Super dirty mold growing on the walls management won’t return emails or phone calls. Charges monthly fees if you don’t catch and argue you’ll pay 400 a month more. It’s sad.

Horrible place

I rented here for two years. First day we arrived the apartment was flooded and they didn’t clean up the mess. It took us fighting with them to remove the mold in the closet. When we left they charged us our deposit and a 1500 dollar termination fee we paid and they still put an eviction on our credit. I have tried to get them to return my call or resolve this issue so I can get another apartment they refuse to answer. Worst mistake of my life trusting them.

Avoid This Property

Cockroaches, poor resident support, dirty common grounds, buildings in poor repair, theft, broken security gates, dog poop everywhere. Please do not rent here, you will be better off spending slightly more to live in a newer property in the area.
