My residency began with a very frustrating move-in experience. On move-in day, there was no staff member available to greet me or provide my keys, and my move was delayed due to poor communication from the management team. I was also told that notice of the delay had been sent approximately 20 minutes prior to me reaching out; however, when I reviewed the timestamp, the message had actually been sent only two minutes earlier. Being given inaccurate information at the start of my residency... immediately impacted my trust and confidence in management.
Since Friday, I have been dealing with active leaks and flooding inside my apartment. Management initially came to me about the issue but quickly dismissed it as condensation. It is now clear that this is not condensation. I have been living with ongoing leaks and standing water for several days while it has taken time to determine the root cause and provide a permanent solution.
In addition to the inconvenience, I am increasingly concerned about potential mold growth and other health risks associated with days of flooding and standing water inside my home. This situation is not only disruptive, but it also raises legitimate concerns about the safety and habitability of my apartment.
Less than a month into my lease, this experience has been extremely disappointing.
