NOT LUXURY LIVING!!
I have lived here for 8 months. I was beyond excited when I leased b/c I thought living in such a "luxury" building would be a dream come true. I was so mistaken and so quickly disappointed in East Quarter. Although the outside of the building is beautiful and the inside of the apartments are lovely - it stops there!
Where do I begin: The elevators are constantly broken for weeks on end. The communication in regards to the broken elevators is extremely rare as if we aren't supposed to... notice we have ONE WORKING ELEVATOR. There has been over 20 times I have waited 15 minutes for an elevator to then have it come and barely fit on it b/c there are so many other people waiting on the SAME elevator.
The windows look great until you realize they are single pane, poor quality, and let every bit of noise possible in at night. There’s a constant drone of the highway at night, and you can hear every big truck that rolls down the highway - not sure how I missed this during my tour but it is absolutely awful/unbearable.
The parking garage gate has been broken several times for days on end. The parking garage is filthy and is never cleaned or cleared of debris or spills. It is so embarrassing when I have guests and they get out of their car to see a huge spill that is sticky and old. I do not believe the garage has a porter as it is so filthy that half the time the mirrors are so dirty you cannot see traffic coming the opposite way. It is so dangerous!
The hallways smell of weed 24/7. The carpet in the hallways are stained and dirty almost daily. The trash rooms smell so bad and are rarely mopped with any bleach or anything to kill germs or keep the floor cleaned. The floors in the trash rooms are so sticky and disgusting it is so hard to go in there. At my previous property the porter mopped the trash rooms daily! Once again, a filthy poor maintained "luxury" building.
Now to the selling point...."24 hour Concierge" - I leased this unit with the SOLE purpose of a 24 hour Concierge. They took away our concierge from 11 PM to 7 AM about two months ago. This is NOT what I was promised and not what I agreed to when I leased this unit/property. They did not offer a concession off of the rent or anything to offset this for the residents. They simply sent out an email "effective immediately". So unprofessional and honestly criminal to do this when this was part of the selling point of this building.
