Don’t do it!
This coming April will make 2 years that my fiancé and I have lived here, and I couldn’t be happier that our lease is almost up! I can honestly say that the property has made improvements.. when we first got here, the hallways were ALWAYS dirty. Many folks don’t believe in picking up behind their dogs, I’ve literally seen piles of clothing left in the stairwell, and I’m sure I’ve seen AND smelled human urine on the breezeway to the garage, on more than 1 occasion. Not to mention, the walls being... extremely thin. We’ve had a few issues with our upstairs neighbors being inconsiderably loud. As opposed to being confrontational, we initially went to the office to check on potentially having a meeting with the property manager, ourselves and our neighbors. The young lady at the front desk took our information & said that she’d speak with the manager & get back to us…. that day certainly never came! It gets very annoying hearing stomping, power drills running (at 12-1 AM), heavy furniture being tossed around as if you don’t deserve to be at peace in your own home! We tried calling the on-duty security, and emailing the property manager, and again.. no response. At that point, we were so frustrated that we went up there, again…. after about 5 minutes of arguing, we were able to come to an understanding. I feel that it shouldn’t have came to that, if the employees were actually doing their job! My final straw is the bug infestation that were currently experiencing. 1. We aren’t an unclean/unkept couple.. if we were, then we would’ve been exposed to insects long ago! 2. We’re on the 2nd floor 3. I understand that the weather is changing but I’ve seen 4 bugs in our bathroom within the past week. I am literally counting down the days until our lease ends.
The one pro that I have to share, is the maintenance team/gentleman. They’re always quick to respond and rectify the problem. You can tell that he cares about his work, and the residents as well!
The positive reviews that you see below are from residents who’ve decided to renew their lease & the office staff asked that they leave a it.
Do yourself a favor, keep looking! I understood the influx of residents when Skyline’s rent was cheaper than it’s competitors; but in all fairness, if you’re going to pay the market price for an apartment complex, please try one of the other complexes in the area & spare yourself from this mess of a living situation.
