Terrible before the flood even hit.

I was at Chasewood for 3 years before the April 2016 flood. The fridge dishwasher and blinds where all very old. The AC broke multiple times in my stay. I was paying upwards of $300 a month in electricity just to maintain 78 degrees. When it finally really broke, (all of this still before the flood) it leaked into my utility room and caused mold to grow in the vents. When they removed the unit from my apartment it was DISGUSTING! I couldn't believe I had been living with that all that time. I... reported the mold, multiple times and NOTHING was done to make the situation any better. The maintenance was terrible, the staff in the office was terrible. It was a horrible experience. Then the flood hit and I knew I had to get out. I would never have moved in had I known all the trouble I'd have gone though. Stay away!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! :)

I moved here in April of 2016- exactly 10 days before the area was hit by the flood! Management handled that entire process so effortlessly! They were caring, understanding and helpful as so many of us worked through the process of rebuilding what we lost. They even helped us get relocated to sister apartment communities, if we decided to do so. I personally love this area, so although I looked at some of the sister properties, I wanted to move back to Chasewood into a 2nd floor unit. Wendi and... the team worked to get me into a 2nd floor unit, and made things so easy for me! I am spoiled by not only the kindness of the staff, but the size of the units and my balcony (my oasis) :) Moving here from out of state and having a horrible first experience at a previous complex, living at Chasewood has been such a breath of fresh air! The area is quiet, safe, close to 249 and the beltway. It's right by Willowbrook Mall and some great restaurants! I've had no major issues, but whenever something has needed to be fixed, maintenance is great about getting it fixed quickly- they even helped me get into my car when I accidentally locked my keys in there. I had surgery in August, and couldn't walk, so management was kind enough to come and get my garbage (since I wasn't able to walk it to the curb). There are not many, if any, complexes that will treat you- not like a tenant- but, like family. They know me by name, and always greet me with a smile. There is no way I would call "home" anywhere other than Chasewood Apartments!! I LOVE IT HERE!!!!

Wouldnt suggest it

The first year I lived here everything seemed okay. As time went on and I started to have maintence issues, things went down hill quick. To start, the amenities are OLD! Cabinets, fridge, sink, window blinds, etc... The refrigerator has been leaking since day one and they have never replaced it after numerous requests to do so. It took them two weeks to replace the a light in my vaulted ceiling in the dining room. When my door frame broke off the hinge, they did the most pathetic job fixing it.... My 5 year old nephew could've made it look better...
It took them another full week when I told them my AC was broke (in Houston heat!). Going to bed at night sweating with all the fans turned on high is not fun... Management is very nice, sweet and Windy(Manager) always come through on her word. That's why I chose to give two stars. If it wasn't for that, they'd have got one..
They have annual crawfish boils and Christmas partys which is always good. Thugs and white trash aren't present here, but again, the first year there were multiple break ins (cars). Ive been here 2 1/2 years and Its time I set sail to something newer and more upscale. I wake up every morning with sinus problems....The air vents are dirty. Its time I move on...
