Review for Providence at the Heights Apartments – DO NOT MOVE HERE!

Living at Providence at the Heights has been a nightmare from start to finish. This complex is beyond neglected, and management refuses to take responsibility.
First, the water is brown due to old, corroded pipes. I got sick from the bacteria-filled water, and I have medical documentation proving it. Despite multiple complaints, they refuse to fix the issue. Instead, they try to cover it up with temporary band-aid solutions while tenants continue to suffer.
The property itself is disgusting....
Trash piles up constantly, and no one maintains the grounds. People let their pets relieve themselves everywhere, and management does nothing to enforce cleanup. The gates at the entrance are always broken, making security a joke.
There is a severe pest infestation (roaches, rats, you name it). We reported it multiple times, and their so-called pest control is useless—it never fixes the problem. We also had mold in our unit, and instead of properly removing it, they painted over it and moved someone else in! Absolutely disgusting and dangerous.
Our apartment was falling apart when we moved in, and they promised to fix things before we moved in—but never did. The cheap flooring is coming up, creating a major tripping hazard. We’ve lived here for two years, and they still haven’t fixed it, despite complaining about it from the day we moved in. The upstairs neighbor’s shower leaks into our bathroom, and management has done nothing about it.
The screening process for tenants is also terrible. Our neighbor was a drug addict who broke into our apartment after being evicted as well as his own unit. It took them over six months to fix the broken window he left behind, and another six months to clean out the abandoned unit—leaving the entire building smelling horrible and making the pest problem even worse.
The maintenance staff steals when they enter your unit while you’re not home. The whole complex is falling apart, and instead of investing in real repairs, the owners keep selling the property to avoid responsibility.
To make matters worse, despite all these violations, they refuse to let us out of our lease without charging $1,500—even though I have medical proof that their contaminated water made me sick! I have reported them to Texas housing authorities because this place is unsafe and unlivable.
DO NOT MOVE HERE unless you want to be sick, stressed, and stuck in a lease with a property that should be condemned.

Best place ever!

We have lived here for almost four years and this is our home. We love it here!!! The ladies in the office Melonie and Allison are the best!!!! They are spot on getting any problems resolved. They were so great with the residents during the Harvey flood that lived on the bottom floor. They opened up top floor units for relief to the residents and pets too!!! Best place ever!!!
