Manager told me apartments were remodeled and have new appliances. On the day I moved in, Manager said sorry my unit didn’t get new appliances. Needless to say, I cleaned gross stove and the mold out of the freezer/refrigerator. There were a few weeks I had wasps getting inside my apartment (18 total). I kept track because I’m deathly afraid of them. I told manager and was told they won’t do anything in my apartment. She said the pest control that we pay is for roaches only. So beware!

I have lived here three years in the 2 bed 2 bath. I'm picky young female professional. I needed a safe affordable place. Turtle creek is my safe haven. The office manager does a good job at screening and is quick to reply to texts and calls and get stuff fixed. The building is a little older but I find it charming and love my little fireplace and the big closets . Most importantly I feel safe here and the people actually care. If I didn't need a bigger place I would probably be here much… longer then three years . Great place for the price clean and charming. I've lived here long enough to know that the maintenance guy is great, but the buildings are very old tinder boxes, and I have no idea what the apartment manager does, but it's definitely not seeing to the needs and care of the apartments or the tenants. They're about the cheapest place in town, and you're getting what you pay for.

Be sure you do what I did: Live here for the shortest term possible, upgrade ASAP, and completely avoid the apartment manager, who never seems to help very much. … This will be easy: seems like she takes a week long vacation every other month.

For the record, I'm a great tenant who's respectful and polite to neighbors. I'm never demanding nor obnoxious. I just keep quiet, pay my rent, and do my best not to complain or give anyone else a reason to. But that's not enough for this manager to treat you with respect. Read More
