Unclear Pet Policies-Misleading Lease Text
Pet ownership is extremely difficult from our experience here at Post. The complex's lease agreements do not contain any language about what pets are restricted or not, and are only found through a random web page https://www.liveatpost.com/pet-policy/ only accessible through the amenties tab on the site. None of our documents my wife and I signed described specific restrictions (ex. breed, weight, etc.), but only a vague "universal" clause that this complex can reject pets for any reason at the... time we agreed to be residents and signed our agreement. Had a disappointing experience where we tried to adopt a dog but the policies were hidden from us and had to return her after initially getting the ok from the team, but done with incorrect procedures. Very disappointed that this is language is not put in the contract compared to other apartment complexes where this is standard. Not sure if we are renewing or not after they implied they were hesitant about putting it in writing for people for some reason, no trust with the management team and we feel awful we felt mislead and cheated out of getting a stellar dog who needed a home. There seems to be a lot of "legal-ese" excuses for this thrown our way instead of making things clearer for residents. PetScreening had no information about the policy at all until after the fact someone else casually mentioned it. 1 star. The process is overcomplicated, has so many steps, and at times is done with bad information given to pet owners from the team due to lack of consistency. If you want a pet here, get it in writing that this pet is ok since they do not make it clear to residents what is and isn't allowed. Avoid at all costs to keep your furry friends.
