Old buildings, poor management

Management doesn't want to repair or acknowledge mold issues, just cover it up and let it regrow. Cycles.
Trash everywhere.
Old plumbing leads to water shut off multiple times a month without warning. Could be in the shower with hair full of soap then water shuts off.
Roaches and mice infestations.
Management is more concerned about cosmetic repairs than the real concerning issues.

If you see good reviews DON’T believe it.

Cameron Crescent Apartments do not clean anything. I’ve been living here for 13 years my whole life and they have never replaced or repaired anything that we have the people in the rental office are very racist. Our door handle is an about to fall off and they won’t fix anything. They say that our door is fine completely fine but it’s not! the blinds are dirty. The stove is really dirty and old. The carpet and walls are even dirtier and they won’t repair, fix, or renew anything. We ask them... forfor a three bedroom apartment since I was very little. It been about like nine years no basically 13 years and we never got a 3 bedroom apartment people came and went and they have a three bedroom and we still never had one. It’s like they forgot about us. It’s like we’re being controlled or something. a playground. Oh wow, there is a playground, but it’s really old and really bad the swings creek and the kids vandalize the playground and write inappropriate messages on property’s. Even if you like this place the service is really bad. Please trust all the bad reviews because it’s true! Also all the units all mice and rats too so please don’t come here it’s not worth anything not even a penny.
Thank you for your time. Made by a teenage girl.

Worst

Look else where, the walls are paper thin and no amenities such as a gym or pool... Storage only available during normal business hours.
Leasing office are staffed with arrogance as if they personally own the building... SMH

DO NOT MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING CONTROLLED

These other 2 reviews are probably fake. Not one person who lives at this apartment complex is happy with the current changes.

-If you want to live here and dont mind being micro managed then sure move in... The amount of money they want to live here is just ridiculous for what little freedom the tenants have.
The latest change is the storage rooms have had all of their locks changed and we the tenant who pay FULL market price for the apartments can not access them unless we go to the office...
during BUSINESS hours to get a key and return the key. Those of us who actually work a normal 9-5 job can not access the apartments because the leasing office is closed when we get home.
-The noise coming from these floors are out of control. Its made of plywood from the 1960s!!!! The leasing office does not care about the tenants needs AT ALL. otherwise they would fight for us, you know, the ones who PAY to live here. I can wait until my lease is up in July. I am out of here.
Do yourself a favor and look some where else if you want freedom.. If you are on assistance, and cant find anywhere else to go, KEEP LOOKING! this place should not even being standing anymore. I have lived here for 4 years. Too bad Mr. Alex is gone, he would of stood up for us tenants.

Property Manager at Crescent Apartments responded to this review

We are very sorry that you feel this way and are unhappy with the changes. Sometimes when new staff comes in there are certain things that we uncover on the property that should have been addressed years ago and have to take it upon ourselves to make... those corrections, to better the property as a whole. As for the storage units and not fighting for our residents? You are definitely mistaking. This was an internal decision made by upper management not in this office but by the Regional Manager. Originally residents were going to have to give up and clean out their storage units completely until our staff in the office went to upper management to stress how inconvenient this would be and made the compromise so you could keep your storage units and just access them during business hours. Yes, this may still be of a little inconvenience but much better than not having one at all. Anyone who called the office concerned we explained the full situation to. Our first priority is our residents and there are many people happy with the changes we know this to be a fact. We would love to speak with you regarding any issue you may be having within the community and help rectify the situation. Feel free to reach out to us at the office, we don't want unhappy residents. Thank You, Danielle Herbert (Property Manager)

Crescent Apartments: Spacious units, wonderful land with old growth trees.

I love these garden style apartments, though nearly 50 years old, and without some of the modern touches one finds in new apts. What we have here is a spacious apartment, each with either a large balcony or patio, surrounded by wonderful tall old trees on 17 acres of property. As a member of Reston Association, residents have access to seven pools, and miles of walking/biking trails. Situated only two blocks from Reston's Lake Anne, residents can also walk to a number of terrific ethnic... restaurants that border the lake, and can also find a variety of wonderful fruits, veggies and homemade foods and crafts at the weekend farmers market. It's wonderful to be a part of a community that values and preserves its beautiful wooded ares home to dear, raccons, and dozens of marvelous birds. Love it here!
