Poor communication
It has consistently taken over 3 weeks to get anyone on the community or management team to respond to important questions.

2weeks to return deposit for application
I applied and paid the deposit and fee. I cancelled in the 24 hours and was told my refund would be processed. I waited a week and called. Then I was told it would be coming by check from California and would take 2 weeks. So beware. Poor practices like this make you not want to deal with the properties owned by this group again.

Could be a lot better!
It's not a terrible apartment but it sure isn't great either. The pricing seems "cheap" for the area, until you see your first water and trash bill (usually around $70 for a 1 bedroom). Then there's parking, where I didn't have a problem with until just this week where they sealed the parking lot and turned uncovered parking spots into paid $20/mo uncovered reserved parking. Parking is already pretty full and now we're going to have less spaces than before. They also put in some "back yards" to... some apartments, which can only be seen as a money grab, just like the parking spots. They're trying to squeeze every dollar they can out of the place. I've had infestations of lady buds in the bathroom (weird) and bees on my patio. My heater is terrible in the winter. I cant get my living room to 60 degrees if I wanted to. The real problem I have is how poor the floor is between floors. I've lived in 1st floor apartments before but I've never been in one this noisy. You can hear ever foot step, their kid running around makes my light fixtures shake and constant thuds that I can feel while sitting on my couch. The noise is so unbearable that my dog is scared 24/7 and now have to put her on Xanax and Prozack. I've had my dog almost 11 years and she's never been this scared to live some where. Clearly there is ZERO insulation between the floors. If I would have known it was this bad, I wouldn't have moved here. I would not recommend this property unless you live on top floor and don't mind being over charged for parking and water.
