Great location, with a few problems
The property itself is nice and slightly secluded. Right along the green river trail, there are great paths to walk and incredible views. The river borders most of the complex and we only have two entrances. This is great in that we are somewhat hidden from Kent itself. That did not prevent multiple car thefts from occurring, which security does not seem to care about and even the groundskeepers were annoyed when I reported broken glass from my stolen car. Prices were increased to a CRAZY degree... in 2022, but they did lower increases this year to win us back. However, the office staff has turned completely indifferent to downright hostile. They send out rent emails twice per month, regardless of whether you have paid or not and there is no way to opt out of the emails. Those emails are also the only way they communicate any late fees or lease violations, so you cannot treat them as spam. This has resulted in me thinking my rent payments have not gone through and almost paying them twice! Especially since they stopped providing any statements at the start of 2024 and I now just have to trust them that their charges were correct. They also changed their renters insurance requirements to say you have to send them a copy of new coverage BEFORE your current coverage has expired. Regardless of whether they are listed as an interested party, they say that only sends notes to PO Box and its on the renter to send it to the leasing office early. So if you have auto payments set, they will not notify you until the day of (too late for an insurance company to process anything) that they are about to charge you an extra $50 per month and unless you provide proof of insurance on the same day your policy expires. Then even if you provide proof the next day, this charge is non-refundable. The office has also gone to scheduled meetings only meaning you can never walk in and talk to anyone. Great location, terrible nickel and dime billing, awful communication and treatment.
