you can do better
This review is based off of our experience living in unit O103 from November 2021 - July 2024.
We moved from out of state for work, and when we arrived we did all the final paperwork and grabbed our keys. When we walked in, the place was disgusting. They had laid down new carpet but other than that the place was FILTHY & A LOT of things were broken. The carpet wasn’t even fully laid yet.
We were paying for an “upgraded apartment” LOL so there was supposed to be the laminate in the main room,... & when we asked they said that this was the “upgraded” apartment. They sold us on it bc of our dogs, making it easy to sweep, ect.
They gave us 3 days off rent-which we had to fight for a few more days because of the major inconvenience (out of state move). We couldn’t stay in the apartment until it was livable. We gave them a week with us out of the apt, and when we returned, while mostly cleaner, there were still SO many things broken!
Mind you, when we first grabbed our keys initially, it was a week AFTER our lease started, giving them extra time to get the placed fixed up.
Pretty much from the moment we moved in everyone in the office was wayyy less friendly than when trying to get you to sign a lease with them.
Our heat went in & out the entire time we lived there - the emergency maintenance guy showed us how to reset it so we didn’t have to call him (yes it’s easy but how dumb)
the washing machine did not properly wash our clothes the first full year even with multiple maintenance requests until one of the more competent maintenance people caught the issue. Gross. Many of our clothes got mystery stains on them after “washing them” in the broken machine and had to get rid of them.
There was a plumbing issue in our building that left sewage in both of the bath tubs, sinks, seeping out of the floors, ect. We had to tell them they missed our apartment & they almost did not fix ours that night because the leasing office did not let maintenance know our apartment was also compromised. They LEFT the sewage without cleaning it all weekend, and when we told the leasing office the following week when we were back in town, they basically said “Oopsies, we’ll make a note.” we paid for cleaning services out of pocket. Absolutely gross and unsanitary.
MOLD. All over the apartment. No matter how often we wiped with vinegar and bleach, left windows open, had dehumidifiers, left our fans on (which is hilarious they don’t turn off because of how gross the place is) -

Hello Marissa, thank you for taking a moment to share your feedback. There is no doubt that we absolutely fell short with your move in, and we regret that we were not able to gain your confidence after that. We did bring a housekeeper and maintenance... in to make the items right, and, as you stated, we did refund your rent during that time. We did not charge you any cleaning fees at the time of your move out, we only charged you for the pet damage to the carpet as we were not able to save the carpeting. Again, we are truly sorry that we did not meet your expectations and wish you nothing but the very best. - Kimberly B., Regional Manager
