Maple Leaf Plaza

Just for some context I didn’t tour this building before moving in and this was one of the few apartments in Seattle that was in my budget and not the size of a shoebox. Review: I really liked the 1 bedroom + balcony, it was plenty of space for me. Heads up, the washer/dryer is not in unit, instead, there are shared laundry rooms (one washer and one dryer) on each floor. The maintenance guy, Memsud, is the nicest person! The only person from leasing I communicated with was Mercy and she’s also… very nice and responsive. However, I moved out as soon as my 6 month lease was done. It seemed like there was a healthy number of college-aged residents. I’ve lived in the University District and I lived on Roosevelt Way & 65th while the light rail station was being constructed and all of that still does not compare to how loud some units were regularly. Ultimately, I could not stand the combination of the walls being too thin / loud neighbors, living on a busy street, and not being able to conveniently walk to restaurants or stores. If you are interested in moving to this building look for units on the upper floors (Floor 4-5), corner units, and avoid units facing east if you don’t want to be above Lake City Way.
